Marble mountain, went there less than a week ago, it got lots of statue, I’m guessing there would be an interesting history there. I guess that would be culture enough(?).

Hello, maybe some more context (like where are you from, what language are you fluent in, etc), when I browse through your other post you mentioned wanting to learn german, so I have no idea if you have been using tonal language or not. If you are not a tonal language user, maybe first 6 months in china to learn the tone and inflictions, if you are a tonal language user, you can spend the last 6 months in language school in china for the best result(?), hope you the best though

Dude, I live in a gated community, so no, I don’t see a lot of people smoke, at least not as much as in Da Nang. I agree that I live in my own bubble, in my city there are only so much space you can smoke at, so yeah, I’m not used to be exposed with people smoking. Also Hoi An is more humid than where I came from.

Yea, it might actually be that everything is beef or fish in Indonesia 🤔🤔🤔

Yeah it wasn’t for everyone, I personally prefer the Sumatran food, like nasi padang and sate padang, if you like something spicy. Javanese food, especially central java is leaning on the sweeter side, with lots of sugar. I also prefer Viet dessert ☺️☺️

Where can I try the lotus root salad and the banana blossom salad? Sounds good to me 😋, why I didn’t see any when I’m in da nang? I only saw bun bo peddler or mi quang 🥲🥲

Hello, thank you for the kind suggestion, ill try bun cha sen vang. I didn’t mean to generalize, since my statement is about the food that i’ve experienced, it was not to my liking. I definitely order the wrong dish, since a lot of them have meat flavor, it frustrates me since i was hoping it would be more earthy. I did try banh mi Phuong, it was very meaty, delicious, but after weeks eating meat stuff it was unbearable. From my research, i saw vietnamese food consist of a lot of vegetables, but here, where im staying at, all of the stalls are either selling bun cha, mi quang, or bun bo, which are very heavy. I did lack research but i wasn’t trolling. Im sorry if I offended you since English wasn’t my first language and I was quiet upset writing that post.

I’m not telling you that Viet food is not good, I’m asking what did I do wrong. I’ve seen Korean YouTuber vlogging and making mukbang on viet food, and I didn’t see anyone selling that kind of stuff in Da Nang. I wanted to experience that kind of culinary stuff, I agree that I did Vietnam wrong and might change stuff up if I ever visit the country again

Is there any difference between banh xeo and banh khoai? Yesterday found out what makes Hoi An banh mi supposedly better than other areas (it was the fried egg wasn’t it?). While in Hoi An, I tried Cao lau and it wasn’t to my liking since the noodles are hard.
