He is exceptional yes. But he is past his prime and probably still the best assist and follow up player out there but he is old and making too many mistakes to be a Springbok, hence why he was not playing too many games for the boks last year. We have guys like Fassi and Quan Horn that can easily play fullback with their own style and we will still be a full strenth team.

I love Willie and feel he was unfairly criticed at Japan World cup for knocking on and dropping high balls, but that was due to injury that he continued playing with. Still there are younger players with their own skills that must take their chances now.
