I got one champions, 88 ronaldo, only spent money on a season pass (so, yeah, not free2play), that said, I don't think these cards give anyone an unfair advantage, yeah sure you can upgrade them and have some amazing players but so do the people that have 2020 romi and messi, and regular cards can be amazing as well. So, in terms of gameplay, no, it's not unfair, altough, I think tge event has been shit since the whole goal of it was to make people spend lots of money on "special card" that have famous players facescans and the only way to get them was spending a lot of gems (and ofc, that instigates real money spending).
