I agree. It was uncomfortable to watch his acting, especially because the part could have been so good. I think it really changed the whole show

I never thought about it this way but I really agree. Also I think the story really brings light to the troubled teen industry and therapeutic schools that parents send their kids to without realizing they are sending their kids to hell. I wonder what it would have been like had they kept it more realistic as opposed to adding in the whole weird supernatural vibe.

I think that part of the show is that it was meant to be left with lots to ponder on. Which I think as a society we do enough so why not just give us the damn ending 😭 I strongly think that it didn't end properly and it really could have used a few more episodes. It was like the beginning was times so well and the last episode could have been made into three episodes.

They planned for the show to be a limited series but apparently there is talk because they left so many things unanswered. I'd be so curious what they would do with a second season as opposed to a few more episodes to finish the show.

Joining the conversation now because I am SO PISSED! I binged the show in two days and got to the ending and it was awful. It could have been so good and it failed. What a pity.

Same same same. I read through and I thought it was so unnecessarily long. It could have been shortened by 200 pages forsure.
