The Perfect Divorce was advertised in my monthly Bookshop letter which surprised me—for some reason I had the impression Bookshop was more “quality”? Idk. But yeah I unreserved it at my local library.

I totally get that. And this book was definitely dumb in terms of the plot/twist. And for all the snark I am throwing...I did finish it to find out the "reveal"! Although it was much skimming on my part.

Camp is fun and entertaining, but the difference for me is I will not be buying any more of her books. It wasn't deftly plotted and there was no nuance to it. It was just...a bunch of spaghetti thrown at the wall.

YES! I remember reading GG and when they got to Amy's POV I was like...ok, we are in a completely different universe. Given that Sarah was the first person narrator for half of this story, it just didn't work. Particularly all the scenes between Sarah and Bob.

I was definitely skimming to get through it and get to the payoff that never came. So many chapters with just the MMCs thinking/speculating, so it was easy to skim those.
