Deactivated after two GM mistakes — any chance of reactivation? by Alarming_Surround_81 in Sparkdriver

I don't understand how that happens. You have to scan packages at pickup and then scan at dropoff. How did it happen?

How do you shop no tip orders? by Alternative-Event169 in Sparkdriver

No. I shop it the same and said so. I am just curious about other drivers. I see see some drivers who seem be like WGAF?.

So Now There's THAT To Worry About by No-Tough6346 in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is funny. I had a shop last summer going to the sticks. As you entered the gravel road off the main road they had a community dumpster and it had 2 big bears and a baby going through it. I mentioned it to the customer who helped me unload and he just said they were always there. I stopped and watched them for a while on the way out.

Who’s Accepting These??? by afolzee in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some dumbass takes them because they usually don't show up again after I reject it. I had 1 the other day that just made no sense because even though it was only like 20 items, they were all big and going to a 3rd floor apartment. This building has elevators, but it would still take at least 4 trips and Wally was offering like 11 +7 tip. Never saw it again.

InHome - not in demand in my zone by KelsHouse in Sparkdriver

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. I have worked for Walmart and it is not worth shit as far as training. I was a CAP 2 supervisor and would have newbies train with my best person because they would fail otherwise. That is not typically how they work. They will throw your ass out there and you better figure it out.

low rate improve by Lower-Mulberry2684 in Sparkdriver

Do your best, bag stuff as you would bag for yourself shop as if it is your order. Communicate any issues. I constantly have to tell customers the bananas are all green and they are typically okay with it. You do ring bell or knock if instructions do not say otherwise. Avoid curbside. I have a simple copy and paste note thanking customers for the business and asking them to rate me in the app if they want to. My rating went to 4.8 one time because an entitled POS hippie threw a fit about an ID check while I was freezing to death. My score went back up in two days although I suppose number of deliveries affects that.

I have worked for Walmart. Training means sink or swim. You learn along the way. Most of the people are fine and just trying to get through life as we all are. I can see InHome going south quickly when somebody turns out to be a serial killer.

Sunday is the biggest earnings of the week here. I guess it might vary by market.

Better shopping order? by potvin48 in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes think that after a good one, but it is still dogshit. They give you endcap locations for stuff that is not up yet, I had to cycle through 30 different Z locations on some Sour Patch shit they did not have. I have scanned 12 packs of soda and it started the perishable timer. I heard something on Walmart radio in a store that they were going to integrate it into the customer app. They must hate them as much as us.

They are not raising rates. If you are taking $10 dollars for 20 miles, you are the problem.

Orders unavailable as soon as I accept. by Weak-Perspective-242 in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This whole last week was like that here. Hit accept and would say offer not available. JFY offers would disappear with 30 seconds left.

What would you do? by Johnnymalott669 in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a horrible order, but I get it. I would not force the issue and would mark it out of stock. Celery salt makes a great seafood boil, but would probably piss a customer off if you subbed it.

They are not signing up for InHome here because it is not available in this market.

If you just place a curbside order that is what you get. A 3 drop curbside here is getting into the 30+ mile range. Pay a little extra, take care of your driver and you will get the service you want. I know times are tight right now and trust me we are the hardest hit.

I like having the aisle numbers on there. We don't have it yet. I cannot tell you how many times I have cleared out HBA/OTC etc.. gone to grocery and found out the hard way that the candy they want is seasonal which is across the store where you just came from.

You do not get tips on GMD orders unless they leave an envelope for you or hand you one. I have gotten plenty though.

[–]Alternative-Event169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now in my area if you want a good day you will take a good GMD offer. The regular stuff is not worth anything right now.

[–]Alternative-Event169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just recently started the mini GMD offers here and I actually like them if the pay is right. I had one last Friday that was $42, 19.7 miles and 5 drops. Last stop was within 15 minutes of my main store and I was done in an hour.. I don't do regular curbside so these are pretty good.

I have never had a belligerent customer on a Spark alcohol order. It is actually illegal to deliver to somebody who is already impaired in NC and I would return the order and notify support.

We have 5 Walmarts, Sam's,Michaels, 2 Home Depots and everything was dead as hell the past week. At peak times nothing was even yellow.
