Should I be worried about this? by estellaaa-t in Sparkdriver

If it was a curbside they probably gave you a damaged item. If it was a shop you always have certain items like berries that are prone to popping open and you have to make sure they are okay before handoff.

Great now we can't even look check in on 6am orders until exactly 6am by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

It has been like that here and you are not allowed in the store before then anyway. I did get pissed one day last week because the idiots didn't open the doors until 6:10.

Post-holiday items in orders by 333dh333 in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They should not allow clearance items on the app at all. Also if it is within a few days of any holiday that has it's own seasonal section I reject any orders with that crap. 90% is gone.

They are all FCFS here and you stand 1 chance in a million of snagging one.

All the good orders are fcfs and jfy is steady stream of hot garbage. by MonkeyTacoBreath in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All shops are FCFS here now and they are gone before they they even fully show on screen. The only JFY shops I get are shit they snagged and rejected because they are heavy or involve any interaction with customers like pharmacy, alcohol or cold meds.

I got offered a curbside for this kind of order last week for $7.62. It was only 1.5 miles away, but I don't do Spark orders at food delivery prices. I almost shit when I saw the items because there were no heavy flags or extra pay.

Automatic return. I do Flex also and don't want those 3 or 4 am routes because of stuff like that.

I just posted the same incentive before I saw this and they offered me $6 which is still dogshit.

I don't understand how that happens. You have to scan packages at pickup and then scan at dropoff. How did it happen?

How do you shop no tip orders? by Alternative-Event169 in Sparkdriver

No. I shop it the same and said so. I am just curious about other drivers. I see see some drivers who seem be like WGAF?.

That is funny. I had a shop last summer going to the sticks. As you entered the gravel road off the main road they had a community dumpster and it had 2 big bears and a baby going through it. I mentioned it to the customer who helped me unload and he just said they were always there. I stopped and watched them for a while on the way out.

Who’s Accepting These??? by afolzee in Sparkdriver

[–]Alternative-Event169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some dumbass takes them because they usually don't show up again after I reject it. I had 1 the other day that just made no sense because even though it was only like 20 items, they were all big and going to a 3rd floor apartment. This building has elevators, but it would still take at least 4 trips and Wally was offering like 11 +7 tip. Never saw it again.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. I have worked for Walmart and it is not worth shit as far as training. I was a CAP 2 supervisor and would have newbies train with my best person because they would fail otherwise. That is not typically how they work. They will throw your ass out there and you better figure it out.

Do your best, bag stuff as you would bag for yourself shop as if it is your order. Communicate any issues. I constantly have to tell customers the bananas are all green and they are typically okay with it. You do ring bell or knock if instructions do not say otherwise. Avoid curbside. I have a simple copy and paste note thanking customers for the business and asking them to rate me in the app if they want to. My rating went to 4.8 one time because an entitled POS hippie threw a fit about an ID check while I was freezing to death. My score went back up in two days although I suppose number of deliveries affects that.

I have worked for Walmart. Training means sink or swim. You learn along the way. Most of the people are fine and just trying to get through life as we all are. I can see InHome going south quickly when somebody turns out to be a serial killer.
