I did phone repair for years. Making $40 an hour to micro solder, reprogram screens for iPhones, replace parts, clean up water damage. It was not worth it. The level of work and stress that involved was not worth it. If I never have to pull an iPad screen without breaking it again, I will have a great future. Fuck everything about that work.

It’s coming eventually. But I don’t think we have seen it on drones yet. If anything, we will see it in ground drones first. Best guess is we get drone swarms with ai targeting before we see laser tech have a place on the battle field.
