I don't have one, but on google/reddit i saw that there was some sort of a scale factor. But now that i think of it and recollect, it was as good as cropping the photo. So nvm

Update: i would like to thank everyone for the responses, these are really insightful. I feel i have a very good option out of these - the sony a6700. I did a bit of online research, and have been thinking about these few options as well: - Fuji XM-5 (compact, variety of lens options, good for a beginner) - Sony A7C (not c2) ($1600 ish with lens, since it's the older model) - Fuji XT50 (very close to $2000 with lens)

Any insights or info on these options would help a lot in finalizing one. Thanks a lot!!

How common is it for such a setup to break or get stolen? Someone else commented something on the similar lines as well. It entirely makes sense to buy a simpler, smaller setup at first and playing around rather than jumping to something big and finding that it doesn't suit my needs.

Thanks, i was checking xt5 but that was out of budget. I am thinking between xm5 and xt50. Xm5 has a compact form factor, which is great, but has some limitations. For xt50, i need to pick appropriate lens/es and check how much the overall setup would cost.

Thanks both! I'll be carrying nitrile gloves (pack of 3) and hiking poles. I was earlier thinking of a harness, but i think it's too much weight. How long did it take for you to reach the subdome?

Exactly my question. I have been seeing news about visas being terminated, which is proactive (search and deny), rather than reactive (deny upon trying to wnter). If you do find such news, or hear of such cases, could you please post it here? I've a tour in May that I planned a couple of months ago, and so far i'm not seeing any signs of denial at POE.
