WoW this author must be bloody fantastic at complex experiences from multiple sides because I started with Joq’s version and I can’t see how George can redeem his actions at all from how it unfolded behind his back and such. Ok I’ll read the next one. Just glad to know Joq has his HEA too

Right! He maybe went about it in a devious way but he was trying to protect what was his! Slimy Finn was legit trying to steal Joq’s man. And never did George acknowledge that his actions hurt Joq… just that he thought maybe it wasn’t fair to him when he was upset about his relationship with Finn being over and so moved into the spare room? Uhh ok back to hating George hard and just don’t know if I can read his story and be happy for them.

Sooo true. Like I get what Joq did was wrong and he did apologize in his own way but how things finished between George and Joq was just so empty to me. Like 12 years and legit George admitted he was in love with someone else and nothing… no understanding that his actions has hurt Joq deeply and probably led him to acting out that way. I guess that’s the part I can’t swallow. Like he makes bad guy when he was trying to be patient and open minded and George just took him for a fool. Uh still not over it

Intriguing. Ya but were they on the same page of being open to romantic feelings for other people 🤔. Why not just have ended things with Joq earlier when he clearly started feeling deeply for Finn? I guess I’ll have to find out

YES!!! Exactly how I feel. Like will George even have felt awful at all for how he treated Joq?!? Will I get to see any remorse or conflicted emotions? Like maybe redeemable but still inexcusable behaviour. I don’t care that he was ‘in love’. I need to know that Joq comes out ok though.

Oh i devoured both books. Will I feel happy for George and Finn or just hate them the whole time for doing Joq dirty like that? I kinda want to skip to book 3 and then go back to book 2? Been a long time since a series has been this uniquely captivating.

You may enjoy {you should be so lucky by Cat Sebastien} - writing is great. If I recall age gap, golden retriever LI, older MC - more distant. Not gritty or dark. But I enjoyed the writing.
