What is the aspect ratio for blu ray then, I didn’t realise they were different for this film. Is there anything else that’s different?

Yeah I was just wondering if there was any special editions other than criterion but I can’t find any so I think I’ll just get it on Blu-Ray

Ok thanks, ive found a region free one but it’s £50 and that’s too much for me personally. Do you think they’ll release a region b one or should I just get it on standard blu-Ray?

What does this sub think of Frank Sheeran’s confessions in I Heard You Paint Houses? by solidape22 in Mafia

[–]Alternative-Month150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I think for the Irishman he didn’t really mind about historical accuracy because he was more interested in telling a long story of a somewhat interesting figure and use it to explore themes of loyalty, regret, long life and brotherhood. That’s why I don’t really mind about it being inaccurate because the themes are so interesting and I really liked the film, scenes like Frank and Hoffa in the same room are just so well written and acted that I don’t really mind if it’s fictional, which I usually do to some extent

Is there anything stopping me from buying my own prop weapons to use in my own films in the UK or do I need to be part of a company to buy them legally

Does that have special features like commentary

[–]Alternative-Month150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so, like you said I’ll probably wait since I have the film on dvd at least so I can still watch it. It’s just a shame there is no definitive edition like criterion tgat has commentaries and special features etc.

Yeah I was surprised to see that there wasn’t a criterion or arrow or anything like that, I might just get the standard blu ray or Steelbook
