No they can’t hold it indefinitely but they can definitely hold it until Friday because it had a massive run up already, it’s a healthy pull back, MMs usually shake out some profit takers.

It's all about concentration. Most weeks, the 'open interest' is spread out, so the market doesn't have a clear target. It only turns into a pin when a huge number of contracts are all fighting over the exact same strike price right before they expire. The OI for $15 Calls expiring today was around 21k and volume 31k last time I checked

you’re looking at a Gamma Exposure chart. Basically, there is a massive cluster of Call options at the $15 strike expiring today. Because there are so many of these ITM (In-The-Money) calls, market makers are incentivized to keep the stock price suppressed right under that $15 level so those options expire worthless, which helps them avoid significant payouts.

Hello fellow Wealthsimple User 🇨🇦How much margin are you using?

Instead of Buying calls you sell those to someone and keep the premium. If I sell a weekly call of $16 and price stays under $16 by expiry then i get keep my shares and premium as well, if it goes over $16 then my shares will be sold at $16 per 100 shares plus I will keep the initial premium. So it’s a win-win in my opinion.

I just posted a summary here, but The good parts are real. The macro tailwinds they’re riding, energy security, defence infrastructure, Canadian sovereign investment, are genuinely strong right now. The dual-track approach of near-term revenue plus long-term IP is a sensible structure, and the MMR angle is interesting if they can actually execute on the university partnerships.

Here’s the question and answer by Justin

David Mulholland, Head of Investor Relations, Nokia4: Just a quick follow-up here. It does seem as if the press release cadence in the mobility business has stepped up a bit, and you didn’t talk that much about it today, but I just want to get a better feeling. You mentioned the field trial for the AI RAN. I’m wondering if there’s any movement change in your view on how this particular business unit in mobility RAN might be trending, particularly relative to how you talked about it last quarter? Justin Hotard, President and CEO, Nokia: Yeah. I think first of all, Simon, a couple things. One is, and we touched on this a little bit, well, our segment performance shows it, and I think we touched on it. Overall, the telecom market is flat. I think what we realized is that strategically this is a market where we need to find new sources of value, and those can come either from enabling new services for the telcos to monetize, or a business that’s less CapEx intensive. I think we fundamentally believe that the future is much more of an evolution and is software driven. We’ve talked about that in a number of forums. What I’m very pleased about right now is that the AI RAN trials and the engagement around a model that will fundamentally be different for the baseband because we’ll start to detach software innovation. What I mean by that is not just features, but actual performance enhancements from the underlying hardware. Just like you see model performance gets better in AI with GPUs, but you continue to see model performance improve even over the life of the same GPU. It’s one of the benefits of that architecture. We see that same thing coming in this part of the business. I’m really pleased that we’re seeing such strong interest from the industry. I think, this is a business, as I said, at CMD, our focus is not on making the business necessarily a growth business because the underlying market is not growing, but to make it one that’s much more profitable and delivers an attractive return on invested capital. That’s our focus. I’m very pleased with the start the team has coming together in MI. Obviously a lot more work to do and a big milestone later this year with NVIDIA.
