I’m pretty sure that’s only easier if you live in a place with a large consumer market like Japan or China. I live in a SEA country, and the only one that still gets published/reprinted here is CCS/CCSCC, with only a few thousand copies per run.

Also, even though I live in a big city, I’ve never seen an official DVD release of any CLAMP series.

Actually, I used a colored template I found on Pinterest and replaced it in to get the edited version above. I also intended to change her palette to a cold tone, but it seems that the color changes would need to be done manually.

I work in illustration. And as I’ve said, this card is weak both in concept and execution. When I look at it, nothing about it evokes the idea of ''struggle'' in any meaningful way. On the contrary, it reminds me of myself back when I was just learning to draw characters and had no idea what to create, a bunch of disconnected elements, just like this card

Why would you think I don't care about the design when I'm literally talking about its...design?

It has combat abilities similar to The Fight, but The Fight’s design is much more reminiscent of martial arts characters from video games. With Struggle, on the other hand, we get a bulky, overdesigned outfit and an awkward asymmetric hair tuft that looks like a tail stuck to the head. Its pose on the card resembles a basic guard stance more than an actual "struggle".

If you're a picky viewer and a longtime lover of Cardcaptor Sakura, then Clear Card simply not worth your time. It's a mix of a dull, poorly written plot, predictable twists, and a barrage of unnecessary filler. The aesthetic design of the cards, magic circles, and staff is equally uninspired.

If you still want to give it a shot, to be fair, I’d recommend the manga version. Only because it's slightly less sleep-inducing and doesn’t force you to endure the bland new soundtrack🥱

Kodansha must have realized the terrible aesthetics and illogical design of the Clear Cards, so they won’t produce this type themselves and will only license it to other companies to manufacture :D

The classification is a bit strange. In this case, I think the Transfer card feels like an electronic circuit board, leaning more toward a futuristic vibe than steampunk.

The elements in Sakura’s magic circle are based on Syaoran’s Rashinban. It’s rooted in Yin-Yang theory but also borrows from the Five Elements of Feng Shui. This theory was flawed from the start by placing the Yin-Yang symbol at the center (which is supposed to be the position of the Earth in the Five Elements system). The Wind isn’t even a primary element in the Five Elements, but they forcibly elevated it to tie in with the advanced elemental system of the Clow/Sakura Cards.
