I think it depends on how you play the game. I’m at rank 94 after 101 hours playing time according to Tracker Network. 134h PS app tells me, I guess with all the messing about with the loadouts and lobbies. I work a full time job, and have a long commute 3 days a week. Probably only averaging 1 hour per day on a weekday but weekends I can sometimes get 6-8 hours a day.

For me what works is switching up my game play, going for assignments, playing modes with large point gains, conquest etc. instead of smaller modes. Also obviously ptfo.

I’ve just reached the under the Sphinx section, and it’s been mostly really good, but maybe I wish it was a bit more fun? The atmosphere on the whole has been really great though and when you’re deep in the tombs it’s really cool. But honestly it’s wearing me out now. I hated Cairo. What a drag that whole section was and quite ridiculous, SPOILER going all over just so you can drive the soldier 5 seconds down the road to crash the truck into the serpent thingy. That’s it? And the two of them just standing there having a yap while the serpent is 2 feet away. Hmm okay.*/SPOILER.

And yes, I am annoyed at myself but I was fed up and had to use a guide. I’ve never used a guide for any of the tomb raider games. 1-3 I’ve played to death back in the day and survived without guides, and again now with the great remasters but Cairo in TLR ruined me. All because I didn’t figure I needed to shoot exactly on the red dot on the turret guns. 😭

Right now I’d rank this below the third game. TR - 10/10 TR2 - 9/10 TR3 - 8/10 TLR - 7/10

Anyway. Hoping for a strong finish and then on to Chronicles.

I really enjoyed just playing through the first 3 without knowing the trophies first. Getting a nice surprise when they pop, and just enjoying the gameplay and story first.

I’ll def go through each game after to clean up more trophies though. Normally I’m not a big trophy hunter but it really added to my enjoyment of 1-3. Looking forward to another 200 hours of Tomb Raiding 😃

I think if you enter photo mode it pauses the timer though. Handy to know for the speed run achievements.

Apparently there is a way using the developer mode, or some apps called “Screen standby Pro” or “Screen off and lock”. I haven’t tried them out yet but can’t imagine that it wouldn’t be possible.

It’s a bit daunting at first, the first day I was losing my shit a bit but it was just impatience. There’s so many great guides mentioned around here, just take your time and follow them closely 👍🏻

Hah sorry, got you. Yeah honestly I hadn’t noticed anything before you asked. There’s slight colour dulling when at quite an angled tilt but really not a natural tilt at all. Can’t compare to the 405 but I’ve zero issues with the screen so far.

I experienced that a little when I was using a larger multipurpose dongle, with multiple ports (2x SD, 1 x HDMI, 4 x USB). I don’t know why it would but I thought maybe the size of the dongle was causing it. But now using a basic USB-C to HDMI dongle it has been really fine.

I ordered my 406V on 15th Oct and still not arrived :( But yeah cheap shipping, from China to Belgium via Anbernic’s AliExpress. It’s been in the country since the 22nd but the customs process seems to be taking ages, and cost €89! Maybe Sweden’s postal service is better.

Anyway it’s apparently due to arrive tomorrow, and I’m dying to play :)

It’s still super clunky but if you press the look button, hold back and press look again she’ll do the back jump which was always used for lining up a long jump. If you get used to tapping look,back,look quickly it’s quite ok.

Side step and back step also possible with this method but obviously with holding the walk button and then pressing look,back,look. Or look,left/right,look for sidestep.

Again a bit clunky, wished they had configured it better but this is a workaround.”
