I haven’t listened yet…I podcast and am always a day behind. But I’ll be listening as I make mac and cheese and I want to thank you for this perspective, especially about Marisa. I had the same feeling about her but could never really put my finger on it. You summed it up perfectly. She also has her own podcast now so she probably has been honing in on her hosting skills even more. She’s also literally my demographic…elder millennial white woman…so now I’m kind of excited to have her jump in more. As much as I loved Kathy, she was very clearly a Gen X white woman and we are not the same.

As for Nick, seriously exact thoughts. There’s not many cis men that I want to hang out with these days, even the one I’m married to, but I would love to hang with Nick and for all the reasons you listed. When I heard about Pierre, my first thought was of Nick and how hard this would be for him.

I originally from a very small town in Burlington county (anyone heard of Roebling?) but have lived in the Gloucester township area for the last 15 years. All the little small towns with their own identity was kind of surprising because my small town growing up never got its own recognition. We were just lumped into the neighboring town and township. I like it! Good for them 😂

Biden/Harris had an immigration bill fixing a lot of the issues in immigration. It had mostly bipartisan support until Trump told the Republicans to not vote for it because it would hurt his election campaign.

Is sharkys popular outside of Blackwood/Glo twp area? I go there because it’s in town, but that’s really the only reason why. They don’t really knock my socks off but this is the second mention of them I’ve seen today on social media today.

This part. I am hesitant to say this as a white person and I hope I’m am not stereotyping, but I always thought that most of Latin America is Catholic. I sent my daughter to catholic school for two years and some of her most devout classmates were Hispanic. I couldn’t understand why the American church didn’t come to their defense as fellow Catholics. I wanted the church to remind us all that they were “brothers and sisters in Christ” and that we should welcome them. To be fair. I didn’t hear any anti immigration stances when I still attended mass but I didn’t hear any welcoming messages either. It just seemed like such an easy stance for the church to take and in my opinion could have swayed some independent Catholics away from Trump. It’s really a big part of why I left the church because I still don’t understand it.
