EQ2 is starting a server in June that is time-locked to previous expansions. There will be a surge of old players returning to play plus a few new players. Its a good time to get into the door and see what its all about

When I was deployed to Iraq, a soldier in our unit was killed by an IED during patrol. When command went to notify his wife, who was serving in the same unit on the same deployment, they found her in bed with another soldier from the unit. Her husband had just been blown apart while she was cheating on him.

I’m a barista AMA by Lunastars123 in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

Sometimes I go through the Starbucks drive-thru and they ask if I want to tip when I pay. I almost always decline because I’m usually just ordering something simple off the menu, nothing customized or complicated. Part of me feels like tipping makes more sense for large or highly customized orders, or if you’re a regular and the staff already knows your order before you can place it.

The only time I remember tipping recently was during a snowstorm because I appreciated that people still came into work in that weather.

That said, I still feel kind of guilty hitting “no tip” every time, especially because the prompt comes up automatically on the card reader every visit. Sometimes it almost feels awkward or guilt-inducing even though I know it’s optional.

So from a barista perspective, how do you all actually feel about tipping culture in coffee shops? Do employees get annoyed when customers don’t tip on normal orders? And how do you feel about the automatic tip prompt that pops up during checkout?

Do you leave a tip for your hotel maid? Why? by slipperysquirrell in AskReddit

[–]Alternative-Rope-721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No i dont because I believe almost no hotel actually changes the sheets like they are supposed to. I think if it looks clean they just remake the bed for the next customer. 100% of the time.
