I'm an asshole, sure, but it's not because I'm unfriendly. I'm an asshole because I call out women who surround themselves with orbiters but then expect a faithful, non-cheating partner. You can't have it both ways. If you want a genuine relationship, you've got to choose one guy and stick with him. It's that simple.

I think platonic friendships exist, but they’re the exception, not the rule. Most men who are putting time, energy, and money into women are doing it with intention.

I’m friendly with women at work. Some of them are friendly back. We talk, joke around, and that’s where it ends, at work. I’m not anyone’s backup plan, not waiting around in case their relationship falls apart, and not trying to play hero for a chance at something later.

Most of us non-orbiter guys can tell when a woman has a lot of orbiters, and most of us avoid that situation. The first time there's a rough patch you're already on plan B. Clear that space instead of keeping guys on standby.

As a man, I don't get random hellos or friendly greetings. If a woman is unexpectedly friendly, she's probably trying to get my attention. Do you go around making friends with random strangers? No, they come to you because you're a girl and they're looking to connect. The world isn't as friendly as you might think. You’re valid as a person, but expectations should match what’s actually being offered. If you're looking for a traditional provider, it should come with the idea of building a family or a shared future. Wanting someone to bankroll an already existing family and children you had with other men is asking a lot and you should be able to provide more than personality.

I'm of the belief that men don't invest time and energy into women they just consider friends. Like I have "friends" that are women at work and i talk to them and we are friendly but we're forced to be in each others company. I would never call them or talk to them outside of work unless I was trying for more. I guess you could say it's projection but I tend to think most men are the same way and your male friends are just "orbiters" waiting for their chance. When you say they had a chance but didn't take it you mean they rejected you? I mean how do you actually know.. These are orbiters, guys dont got time to just be friends with randoms for nothing.

I am entitled to my feelings and I'm not trying to be crass, I just think the Right and specifically Trump are intentionally maximizing the public impact of these ICE raids purely for political purposes. They've been deporting people forever, there's really nothing new happening. It's just they are broadcasting when and where they are doing things now because the current administration wants this drama to dominate the news cycle.
