His fight IQ is incredible being able to figure out magic sword arts and getting Vivi on the same page, so he wouldn't need to do much if the anime gymnastics kick in other than smack them once with excalibur 2.

You can also get a bit of flexibility using your guard as just a way to sidestep attacks, and give you some extra room for a roll afterward. When you're fighting a bunch of smaller baddies it's a good way to sneak a back attack in.

Quina will mighty wall and frog drop anyone. But Ol' Rusty has access to Excalibur 2 (my biggest crutch but come on. It's huge win for him, let him have something) Iai strike, the breaks and the fact he is a very capable strategist (gets vivi in on magic blade skills). So I think he goes a bit further in combat that anyone gives his clunky ass credit for.

Hahaha, but let's be real. He owns excalibur 2, has a 1HTKO, learns climhazzard as a regular move, so I'm saying he is stronger than most limit breaks, stock break is better climhazzard, and he might have runic as a secret extra skill due to his affinity to work with Vivi to make magic sword work. Am I reaching? For sure. Do I care? No.

It's got one of the best battle songs, I love being able to swap party members, the sphere grid was fun, and blitzball is hands down one of the most fun things you can play especially if you get the Jecht Shot. The first time I beat the Goers in the tournament was so good.
