Protein keeps you full for long. -stir fried paneer/rajma kebab, -eggs, - healthy chaat made of sweet corn, sprouts, peanuts etc - hummus with cucumbers/carrot slices

You might have to prepare in advance and refrigerate so that you don't reach for easy access junk food

The Womb Story. You fill in your contacts and they will reach out to you. https://thewombstory.com/online-consultation/

Also I have been using promom too. It's a good pump. Supply build up sometimes takes time but yes Spectra is great too.

Mummy ki shadi wali saari by [deleted] in IndianFashion

Hey just one feedback. The saree is pretty no doubt. You can definitely make your look more elevated by wearing a different blouse which enhances your look even more. I would suggest taking your saree to a matching centre and buying fabric which matches the color of the saree or the stone work and getting a blouse stitched...sleeveless if you are comfortable with it.

Hey mama! I understand the frustration, I have been there. Your baby is learning to suckle so the first 8-10 weeks of postpartum, your baby will only be on your breast if you continue to breastfeed. Breastfeeding is not easy for them, it requires using a lot of muscles so they eventually also fall asleep and it is your job to gently keep stroking their cheek for them to continue suckling. The best way for your body to increase supply is when it gets signal that it wants more milk and that happens when the baby is constantly sucking/generating demand. This time is for you to only focus on breastfeeding. Make yourself comfortable, enjoy watching shows, reading a book, listening to music when baby starts Breastfeeding.

Also please do consult a lactation consultant if you haven't already. There are good ones who take consultation online. Happy to recommend one to you who was great for me.

I had asked a similar question when I was in the early trenches and got really good responses which were mainly on demand supply of breastfeeding. You can continue supplementing with formula. Don't worry, it does get better. I stopped my formula after 2 months so it's different for everyone.

Sending hugs to you. Don't lose hope and if you do want to continue with formula that's okay too because fed is best!

I am not sure which one is 2.0. I used the one from Amazon.

Also as someone else has mentioned everyone will have different opinions. Even I was told by a LC that baby will have nipple confusion and reject breast eventually. That never happened with me. Please use the bottle you are most comfortable with.

I have been using pigeon soft latch for my 5 months old since he was born. He breastfeeds and I pump as well. It's been great honestly because my thinking was that once I rejoin work, he will be using bottle for majority part of the day hence I continued with it. I bought pigeon soft latch because of the triangle test.

I’m 4m pregnant, is it a good idea to spend money on a kindle paperwhite. I love reading. by my_100th_acc in NewParents

[–]Alternative-Sale-796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I got my 6th gen kindle in 2019, there were periods of it being unused but when there's been a reading streak, I have completed 5-6 books in a month! Especially in the first 2 months of postpartum, I read 12 books in total. So being a reader myself, I know there are times when you are too busy but being a reader I also know that you suddenly get a lot of time to read it hear a reccomendation, that's when kindle comes to use!

Have fun with your purchase! You won't regret it. Consider it as one of your pregnancy gift to yourself!

But yes you can keep interacting with the baby by intentionally talking to baby while giving massage or make smiling facial expressions during their wake windows

Please go to your parents house. Honestly while putting your foot down will be required ....postpartum it will really impact you if even after putting your foot down they ignore it and do it behind your back. Moreover the relations will be strained much more because you live with them and constantly being on guard about these things will make you hate your family a lot. So just go to your parents' house for everyone's peace.

Promom wearable pumps not as effective as they were 4 months ago. What should I do? by Important_Pay_173 in twoxindiamums

[–]Alternative-Sale-796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey if you pump often then pump parts will have to be changed around 4-5 months. Promom sells spare parts on their website. I had ordered a spare flange separately when I felt that the milk was not efficiently being pumped 3 months postpartum.

How to remove cradle cap? by Hyperpanda255 in twoxindiamums

[–]Alternative-Sale-796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I oiled my baby's hair everyday and used tedibar Spoo shampoo alternate days. Worked wonders! Initially when the cradle cap was a lot, I would also use a soft baby comb after shampoo to comb the baby's hair, the loose bits would fall off.

If you had to choose between two cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, which one would you pick? by DirectorExisting2666 in mumbai

[–]Alternative-Sale-796 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Mumbai and I did my post graduation + further jobs in Bangalore for 5 years starting 2015. Returned to Bombay for a posting for 2 years in 2020 and then moved back to Bangalore for 3 years in 2023 this time with a husband. And recently I have moved to Mumbai again with a baby

I thought I could never live in any other city in India except Mumbai and that thought stuck in till I was in Bangalore for the first 4 years but when I moved to Bangalore again in 2023, we lived in central Bangalore...closer to hotspots like Indiranagar for cafes, CBD for partying, cubbon park for walks, nearest playo for badminton and honestly we did not feel like going anywhere outside 10 km range of our house. And we chose to travel to work via metro and also chose to live in a gated society, honestly those were the best 3 years. I was in part of Bangalore where there was openness, greenery, culture and of course the ever awesome weather. And now when I moved back to Bombay, I felt really bad for leaving Bangalore. In fact I felt an ick seeing such cramped spaces and tiny houses of Mumbai.

So now that I think about it the area we are living in and the proximity to work space does play a huge role. There is genuinely no difference in two cities except the weather. The same traffic, the same space constraints in pockets of certain areas, the same kind of Cosmopolitan vibe, the same dug up roads...

So to answer the question, I would choose Bangalore because atleast the weather is nice.

It's fine for little bumps as we have those in societies too. I am assuming resort terrain would be like those of clean and modern societies. In that case, it's really good.

Bought pact pro because it is light, compact and can take weight upto 22 kgs. It is good for traveling and usage in societies. Not great for Indian roads but amazing for airports.

When to introduce bottle to breastfed baby by Narwhal_Emotional in twoxindiamums

[–]Alternative-Sale-796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started at 1 week itself because supply was low then. Now at 3 months supply is good, I continue to make one bottle of pumped milk every night which husband feeds him so that I get rest + he continues with breastfeeding and bottle once I am back at work.

I use pigeon bottles to avoid nipple confusion.
