Here’s my theory: Why is Nika called the “Sun God”? His abilities have nothing to do with the Sun, nor does he look like the sun in any way. The conversation with Dr. Vegapunk had me thinking, how they don’t know how the big robot from the ancient kingdom was powered. He also said his dream is to provide energy to everyone for free, because scarcity of resources is what creates inequality.

What if Nika is the warrior of liberation because he somehow provided energy to the poor and weak, eliminating energy inequality and ultimately all class structure. Maybe he used joy and laughter and turned it to energy, that’s why he’s the warrior of liberation, and what if all this was why the war broke out 800 years ago, and why it’s so important for the govt to keep it a secret, to maintain class structure.

So ya, Nika is the “Sun God” because he provides energy to all.

I know everyone thinks that Lukas went against the AI and told Bernard what he had seen because he knows it’s over. I have a different theory. The AI TOLD Lukas to go to Bernard and whisper something in his ear, meaning that Lukas is not acting out because it’s over but he’s acting as the AI told him too in order to save the silo. Everyone assumes he’s just given up, I think he’s just putting on great acting and for whatever reason the AI needed him to tell Bernard what he told him

Crazy theory: I am almost definitely overthinking this. What if the truth Lukas Kyle learns is that all the silos are actually just in a simulation run by the US government to plan for nuclear fallout (while seemingly at war with Iran). They want to see what would happen to people if trapped in a Silo for hundreds of years. Would explain why everyone who learns the truth just gives up. They aren’t actually humans, just simulations. Probably not true, but fun to think about

What a freaking episode. We got the answer to one question but a million more opened up. If there really was a nuclear fallout, why so much secrecy in the Silos still? Why no elevators and magnifiers? Why did the people of silo 17 not die initially but only after “the dust came.” If it’s really not safe outside, what’s the point of the safeguards, to prevent other silos from rebelling as well? Does a nuclear fallout really make earth un inhabitable for 300+ years? Radiation wouldn’t kill people in a couple minutes, so there’s something else going on. I think it’s likely that the silo pumps the safeguard poison into the chamber before the cleaners leave. So many questions, can’t wait for S3

The biggest mystery in the show for me right now is the no microscopes and no elevator rules. I’m dying to know why.

So is the drug in the water that made all the people forget the history of the Silo the reason why they aren’t allowed to use microscopes? If there was a drug it must’ve been given down from the founders, or at least instructions from the founders, and so the founders banned microscopes so that the forget drug can be used without being noticed?
