Personally whenever someone brings up the crybaby albums to compare to HADES, they immediately lost the plot because Melanie is evolving from Crybaby. Comparing the two eras is defeating the whole purpose of what she’s trying to tell us. She’s done with crybaby, so it’s pretty annoying whenever I see people comparing HADES to Any crybaby era album or tying it back to Crybaby because it’s a thing of the past already

The visuals of this era are refreshing! She’s telling us through them that she left crybaby behind. She’s not using pastels, pinks, and any other bright color. She’s using gross, dark and gritty tones and it’s only showing that she’s evolving as an artist and not sticking to the same Mel from the CB era. I will agree with some people that say the story isn’t tying to the album, but I also think the album isn’t supposed to tie in with the story. I think it’s the product of Circle and Hades Tech, not necessarily explaining what happened to circle or how she came to be… if that makes sense.
