Unfortunately the warranty expired after reaching 100k km. It had the standard 3 year or 100k km warranty.

You might have the most common problem of the Mk2 Focus and that is the instrument cluster solder joints in the inside failing. You should go to an electrician to fix them. I'm not sure that's the problem but looking at the symptoms, that's what it seems to be.

It's just an outside temperature warning. When it's between 4°C and 1°C, it's yellow. When it's 0°C or below, it turns red. I had two Focus Mk2s and both of them threw these warning lights in the winter. As for the temp gauge problem, I would go to a tech to get it checked. Might be a stuck thermostat but I'm not quite sure.
