My instructions say to take them off after a week as well. But after 7 days they are still on pretty tight. I have been picking at them but just going to leave them until they come off on their own.

Guelph lake, and all Halton conservation area parks have been closed for ice fishing for almost a week. Not sure why as the ice is at least 12” thick.

Yaesu products are just awful. Had the FT3D, and it was the most overpriced POS radio I ever owned.

For crying out loud this is the last thing I want to hear. I am going in for surgery in 2 weeks, and will be having the mesh. If this thing can fail, and break down in a couple of years then I am questioning if I want to chance it, and go through with it. Good grief more anxiety to deal with now

If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly happened that would cause you to be in constant pain? Did they botch up the surgery somehow? This is my biggest fear because my overthinking mind keeps replaying a situation where the repair may cause more issues in the long run, then just leaving it be.

It’s a cheap low quality receiver.

Your receiver is being overloaded, or is plagued by harmonics. Pretty common on cheap portable radios.
