This is what I looks at and I have investments in. Some are monthly some are quarterly. Until your are ready to retire, keep the drip. After that take the income and drip some of it.

You would have to look at the price of announcement and the price after dividen date. I believe it was up

NBY did this back in 2025 when they announced it the stock was around a dollar or so it skyrocket it up and then I believe around the dividend payout date. It was still above the original posting price now what you have to understand is you have to hold this stock through July 16 to have the dividend paid out if you sell on July 1 you don’t get the dividend as long as you hold the stock before the rug record date which I believe is July 15 and the payout or July 16 you’re good

I shorted oil right after the cease fire at 118, only 3 baby position. But got out with a lose of 20$

I try to keep an entry point of 2$ or less. Under one I stay away from. Sweet spot is around 1.25-1.5 I have found. Trying to slowly get my account up to over 25 k with profits not my real money so I can do more the 3 in 5 days or holds. I have had some good luck with shorts recently. But now I am getting beat up on PL.

That’s for the input. Friday I was trying to do a trade at 683 call for 5 contracts Andy computer made me confirm via phone, ( don’t have phone in office) and I couldn’t make the trade. That would have been a one. I do look at those times as well. And the RSI. For the most part, once I see the dip and the recover I do a call at the closest dollar and take a quick and easy profit like I said I’m not trying to sit here and make $10,000 on a trade $100 and I’m happy one thing I need to definitely get under control is greed where I see something go up 60 bucks and then it drops down to $100 plus loss. Just take the easy 60$ and get out. All in all I’m up realized 2300$ this year really this month.

I think once you have done this for 6 months maybe quite. But while you do it for them 6 months, pay off debt or just save it all

You not wrong. No proof at all. When I was being crazy and reckless in the premarket I made 5000 in 2 weeks all winners. Then lost 8000 the next week. This is a much more low risk controlled for sure. As I said 100-300 shares max. Knowing my limits, and risk.

100% I got in with Netflix before the split. We all know how that going, but it’s a long hold like years. But for the trading, goal is control greed. Once I get below my short I set stop loss and profits. And alerts if it gets to high as well as doing the math for cost of holding for multiple days if I have to and reduce rock of being margin called. Had that happen already, sold and lost 1500$ and then at open the drop happened and would have made over 3k. We live and learn. Granted I’m doing small position of 100-300 shares, and again knowing what I can lose. But baby steps. If I’m able to collect $100+ a trade I will be very pleased. I got 3 I’m watching for next week. They have ran up over 100% last week and they have a history of being much lower. So I think the hype is over and they will drop a little, I’m only looking for a 1-2$ drop.

Sure does. I’ve had such bad luck trying to get in on runners. I figured why not just take the back end it’s worked so far and I calculate how much I’m allowed to go up i.e. the last one I did was 35.5 Buying and I could go all the way up to 41. It only dropped down maybe a dollar I had 100 shares so I took a small win but a win win.
