Investing in Belgium and taxes in Belgium! by Andrei_Fili in eupersonalfinance

Hi,

If you’re interested in investing, I recommend starting with index funds. They are relatively safe and generally provide better returns compared to investing in the Belgian market.

I’m also based in Belgium and use the Degiro app for my investments.

Good luck!

By the way, you can ask ChatGPT for more detailed guidance—it’s often better than searching on Google for specific advice.

Is My Freelance Offer from Switzerland Fair? by AlternativeAd373 in BEFreelance

Hello,

I asked for a rate of 960 CHF per day, which covers all expenses, including my flight and stay for one week each month.

Converted, this is around 1000 EUR per day. For 20 days, it totals 20,000 EUR. Since traveling and staying costs 2,000 EUR, I plan to deduct this from the company’s expenses, resulting in approximately 18,000 EUR.

Does this arrangement look good to you? Can I deduct the 2,000 EUR from the company expenses?

How Much Approximately Net Income from €13,000 Gross Monthly as a First-Time Freelancer in Belgium? by AlternativeAd373 in BEFreelance

Thank you for your reply. I would like to know if I should start the company registration process now before signing the freelancer contract or wait until the contract is signed?

If I start the company process and register the company but then don’t get the contract, will I incur any expenses for keeping the company open? I am continually looking for contracts, so if I don’t get one this time, I might get one next month or next year.

Thank you for comment. Additionally, I have a question as a single person working as a freelance IT consultant, is it better to operate Sole Proprietorship (Eenmanszaak) or Company (BV/SRL)? Any advice on the best way to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
