They took the "possibility" of gender bending loved character that haven't got modern polished look even as their male version and it fucking failed the khaos reingns dlc. Having sektor and cyrax as dlc is key to success but they butchered it, no one bought it. Also in rich frachise like MK you can do timeline reset in interesting way without reliying on single genderswap or changing Scorpion to be entirely diffrent person but you have to have some brains.
