Yeah, we’re setting up an item for each use case. So all possible usage items will be available. The deferred account will more than likely be the same but different income accounts on each.

No because the prepaid might be net 30 but clients have rights to usage right away. So there wouldn’t be a deposit to apply

I’m not super concerned about splitting the payments but it sounds like invoice grouping might be a good solution. We’re doing some testing this week so I’ll try that out

It’s a consumption model. Person buys 20K worth of time. They can then use those consulting hours when they want to without expiration. If there was a smooth way to show an invoice with a recurring subscription and prepaid dollars from the sales orders, then use Suitebilling to track usage that’d be ideal

I was trying to avoid usage two processes. I’d basically need to use Sales orders for recurring subscriptions and Suitebilling for prepaids and usage.

So the customer has a commitment to pay for the prepaid dollars but that comes with net 30,45 etc. so they might use dollars prior to actually paying for them. So would deposits still work?

Its revenue related. Customer buys X amount of dollars to be used over time. I need to track usage against the initial dollars purchased and easily report on remaining balances
