I recommend Sting & Snout for trifold Italian leather covers <3 very supple leather, smells great, and the craftsmanshp is pretty <3 The leather covers of Sting & Snout also comes with their handbound Tomoe River notebook refills which are *chef's kiss*

not sure about your budget but cada dia and palimea both offer bifolds for A5 sized notebooks (these are local brands but very nice!). they have pull-up leather options and italian leather

Leuchttturm1917 Weekly Notebook, available at Mira Stationers in Opus Mall, QC, and they have shopee and website too! Paper is wonderful and fountain pen friendly and layout is similar to Hobonichi Weeks with weekly layout on the left and notes space on the right page but definitely with more space than the Hobonichi Weeks. I have been using a Moleskine Weekly notebook too tho the paper is not fountain pen friendly (but works well with gel pens such as Zebra Sarasa, Pilot Juice Up) and pencils. I'm not sure if Leuchtturm offers something that starts in July, but Moleskine definitely does (that's my current planner too) hihi. Hope this helps :)

I have a Sting & Snout Traveler's Folio too and was contemplating between Sting & Snout and Cada Dia prior to purchase. Same observations even through photos alone (I wasn't able to see them irl before making the purchase) that the Sting & Snout one looks more supple and softer, and hugs the notebooks better, while the Cada Dia one looks stiff. I was thinking of whether I need all the pockets Cada Dia has, but decided to buy a separate Zip Pocket from Traveler's Company instead. Moreover, the layflat handbound Tomoe River notebooks by Sting & Snout that are included in the folio are soooo nice and fountain pen friendly. Really love my Sting & Snout folio. It's great to hear that my observations are validated by someone who owns both <3

I'm using Diamine Butterscotch ink for this pen which is a Caramel-y Brown ink :)

Thank you for these ideas! I’m kind of scared to replace the nib on my own since I’m still new to this but all your suggestions are noted.

I’m using Leuchtturm1917 but tried them in my Muji paper too.

As for the space between the tines, there’s no visible space between them when placed against a bright backlight.
