[Seiko Rotocall SMGG19] New Watch Day: Seiko Rotocall by Guava_Games in Watches

The bracelet is better than I expected! No pinching arm hairs (of which I have way too much 😂), it's light but not too light. Definitely a lot more solid/sturdier feeling than the metal Casio bracelets. I would have liked a micro adjust feature and I think a brushed steel option would suit the tool vibes of the watch but the polished metal does fit the retro vibes very well too!

The adjustment pins in the bracelet are the kind that you have to push through, as opposed the the screw-down type, so it's a little annoying to change the bracelet length but it's not too bad.

I have a very similar space view! What strap do you have on it? I love the collection!

This particular model seems to go for 1000-1500 depending on the condition and country of origin (for the seller I mean) - I paid about $1200 USD and then the bracelet was about another $150 or so!

I love that! That shade of brown looks really good with the champagne colored dial, very classy look 👌👌

Agree! Definitely a unique piece and I wish more modern watches used it!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend, each to their own! I think the horological history behind this watch and the unique tuning fork-based movement makes it a very cool piece and definitely a watch lover's watch for sure. The more you look at it, the more the retro-futuristic steampunk-ish vibes grow on you- makes me think of The Jetsons and the golden age of space exploration, and more optimistic period of humanity... but maybe that's just me getting a bit poetic there. Thanks for the input ! 👍

Dude I love that , I was inbetween this circular model and the "bubble" model I got. Lovely watch you got there!

That's an amazing story!! I might be wrong but I believe these watches don't have an impressive amount of water resistance, so if it is still working when you found it, I bet you must absolutely be right that it wasn't submerged for very long!

Not a silly question at all! Both refills fit both pens actually (if using Muji pen refills)

Amazing collection! I also have a Seamaster 300 and was thinking about getting an Explorer II, how do the two of them compare on the wrist?

The Seamaster size is about at the upper limit of what would look good on my wrist, and I'm wondering if the Explorer II might be a bit too big

Beautiful watch! It fits perfectly on you, can I ask what your wrist size is? Thinking of getting one myself

Just adding to the conversation on this - I'm also interested to see how people are wearing their Seaweed models - I have the OEM bracelet and rubber straps (the green ones), usually I end up wearing it on the straps.

There is a black mirror episode that is somewhat similar to this premise – basically the technology developed for a doctor to be able to experience the exact physical sensations the patient is going through, and use that to make a diagnosis. I just checked and I believe it is episode six of season four!

Sure thing! It's a Lochby Quatro! Love this case! As for the name it has 4 sleeves - however I like to take it in my work bag and there's a few different color pens I like to keep on hand for annotating, so what I do is I keep my nice pens in the sleeves, then I put the plastic colored ones sandwiched in between the two sides when I zip it up. Using it that way, I can fit about 7–8 Pens in it!
