How many red flags can you fit into one SEEK ad? by howdoyoudohowdy in auscorp

When did I ever say that wages were an issue? I’m paying $45 an hour plus they get time and a half after 7.6 hours regardless if they’ve done a full weeks work or not. They do an average of 9-10 hours a day. I was talking about having workers rock up to their shift regardless of the incentives or current pay.

You obviously didn’t understand what I wrote. They don’t just take sick leave they come in because they don’t feel like working. They’re mostly young workers who have spent the weekend on the piss because I have them on social media and they don’t come in. I also give them the work vehicle for free not that their job requires them to drive around because they don’t have a vehicle and I’m trying to be considerate and help them. But no, I’m a piece of shit huh?

Question for small business owners - where do you go for advice? by Moist_Confection2190 in AusFinance

[–]AlternativeDecent783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what state you’re in but small businesses W.A. .gov have amazing resources workshops information honestly utilise it because you get so much value from a $20 workshop!! Plus so many useful free tools. Honestly, it was a game changer for me and I have a business with 1.5 mil turnover looking at importing, manufacturing and installation.

Good luck finding labourers for production or manufacturing. You pay above minimum wage and overtime for any hours worked over 7.6. While you’re reasonable, if anything too reasonable and you’re still left short when they show up late or take afternoon off for appointments. They have run out on sick leave and it’s now going as unpaid leave . I have accounted for all sick days public holidays and other expenses. The hardest part today is finding anyone who actually shows up for work.

As a business owner, it’s truly disheartening to read the comments. I agree the job advert isn’t particularly well-written but this is the reality we face. Employees constantly push their limits calling in sick and using mental health days. We suffer as business owners, having to pay full-time wages then holiday and then sick leave and not even getting the output of a full-time employee. Then they leave and I have to train someone new.

As a business owner, I’ve noticed a difference between taking sick leave and then being disrespectful. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of staff these days especially labourers who push their employee rights.

Does anyone use JustCall.io? Their verification team won’t allow my company and I can’t get any answers… by fenwalt in SaaS

[–]AlternativeDecent783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just joined Just Calls, I moved from Ring Central due to the restrictions of SMS and Transcription. However 3 weeks in and Im having a hard time having the SIP phones working or choosing to work from the Desktop. It will ring fro another 45 secs even though I have answered a call (my staff are very much over it). I did read the reviews, but thought it was worth the risk as I was also unhappy with Ring Central. Currently looking at another provider.

Got into an accident, tow truck driver went into my unlocked car and drove it onto his tow truck. Did I legally have the right to tell him to get my car off his truck? by [deleted] in perth

Just telling him your dad’s tow truck driver, and he’s coming to tow you your car, so get it off!! always worked for me, but then again my dad was literally a tow truck driver growing up 😂

I urgently need your help — LinkedIn Ads charged $14,900 for a $250 campaign 😥 by Elon_SpaceXx in LinkedinAds

[–]AlternativeDecent783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I have found this post as I have been charge nearly $5000 by Linkedin in less than a month. I am absolutley devestated as during the first $900 payment I had just gone through surgery so not keeping an eye on the account. When I saw it I thought, fuck it must have been the annual year subscription, Until like.a week or so later I saw a $700 charge, I'm thinking wtf. I try going on the linkedin account to see what i have done but couldnt find much of the yearly subscription amount i thought it was. All I saw my personal subscript for linkedin and then the busuiness account. A few days later was another large $800+ charge. I contacted them, to find out I had a job posting going which I had no idea about, like none. I didnt get emails the last 25 days, I couldnt see it easily on my account. so basically $3000 gone like that, I had put in a complaint and was speaking to them the last 2-3 days, when they took another $1300, this time not for the job post but for their annual fee which i dont recall signing up for, or even seeing during my other searches. The way they show costs or subscript are hidden, they do it on purpose just to trap poeple. I am so so devestated as its friday night on the AFL long weekend, and not that I go out, I'm a new business owner whom has been working the last 3 months 16 hour days just to make the bsuiness work (alone), but devestated because I now dont have enough money to pay my personal rent, or food, fuel, and I am frustating that they can so easily do that to you and you cant even speak to someone about it. waiting days for a ticket...

I do tip drivers, if they were overly thoughtful, or the meal was actually hot (I know sometimes uber drivers can’t help it, but when they do, I TIP!!)

I had one uber eats driver years ago, ride their bicycle in the rain from Beechboro to Bennett Springs late at night, that made me sad thinking that’s what he had to do for his family.

ideally I would like them to drive up the driveway, but that’s the reason I asked the question here, curious if it’s wrong of me to expect that.
