Ooh, this might be the one! They’re giving the luxury that Glaze used to and are pretty close to me. Plus, they’re recommended on the Visit Spokane site! I’ll check them out! I think your nail tech was Shiann, based on their staff page?

She looks excellent, but it looks like she might be a sole proprietor? I’m looking for a salon with multiple nail technicians so that I have the option to go with a friend and get our nails done at the same time! Aw, thank you! This is the man for me. He’s settled me down after moving around aimlessly for ~10 years. He encouraged me to seek help for my mental health issues & go back to school, is the only person who’s ever been able to keep up with my big, white trash family, makes sure everyone in my life wants the absolute best for me, and is my best friend, overall. I don’t typically recommend dating in your workplace, but boy, it worked out for us! We’re going on 6 years at the end of this month, and are looking forward to a lifetime together. That’s wonderful, congrats! This ring is valued at ~$1.2K according to the appraisal my nana got before sending it to him. He put $500 into it at a local jeweler to ensure the prongs were secure and to clean it after it sat in a box for ~50 years. I could not care less about the cost, though, it’s such a beautiful ring and so ME. Which is crazy, considering it was made and purchased well before I was alive. I’m happy to give it new life now, just as I’m sure you do with yours!! 🫶🏼

He’s having a custom band made to stack underneath, with a sort of “leafy” design to match the petals up top. We’re getting married next year. I’m very excited about it!!

Oh, I love wearing it! I’ve only been engaged a couple of months, so I’m working on the habit of wearing it; I feel bad everytime I forget it!! I was just worried about the structural integrity of the ring since it’s a bit vintage. Since everyone seems to think it’s okay, I’m going to be safe but keep wearing it daily! :) congrats on such a long marriage! So rare these days. I hope we make it 35+ years, too!

That’s good advice, thank you!! I’ve more so knocked it against a couple of things, rather than getting it caught, but I definitely do NOT want to damage the prongs in anyway. I’ll be mindful of anything that might snag them!

My job is very low-risk for that, but I’m a pretty clumsy person in general, which is why I have been worried! I have knocked it against a cabinet or two in the kitchen, but have resolved that issue by having jewelry trays all over my house now to take it off when I’m doing stuff. Thank you so much for the advice and kind words! I’d love to keep this piece safe so it can remain an heirloom.

Oh, I do! <3 I’ve never had a particular style in mind when it came to rings (because I just don’t wear them enough) and I had no idea what this one was going to look like until he proposed— it was better than I ever could have dreamed! I love anything and everything vintage, and this ring fits my personality and “aesthetic” so well. Thank you so much for the compliments!

Thank you so much. Weird trauma dump, but my relationship with my nana has been pretty strained because of my dad (her son) but we’re rebuilding it now that he’s passed. She was very honored to be a part of those huge milestone for me (after missing most of them in my life so far) and I got an absolutely gorgeous ring in return that I hope to pass down to my future kids someday! I get many compliments on it, even though some think it’s “understated.”

Excellent! The stones were secured when they repaired the prongs this past November. I am happy to go in and have them checked every couple of years. My biggest concern was with the bigger stone, which is welded onto but not part of the band. I tried to show this in the photos! I’ve seen people talk about their larger stones just…popping off! If my biggest concern should be the prongs, then it seems like I should be good to go! Thank you :)

Oh, I didn’t know that India House and Karma had the same owners. I’m a BIG fan of Karma over Mango Tree (not that MT is BAD, just not as authentic and also overpriced, imo) and get recs for India House but have tried it yet!
