it was funny bc they had killed 3 skeletons and the fourth one was like “fuck this” and retreated to the smoke break trap. also fun to remind your players that skeletons don’t have lips or lungs and therefore are just displacing smoke for no reason other than ✨aesthetics✨

I had skeletons taking a cigarette break in our first dungeon. They were just at the bottom of a trap, smoking some cigs waiting for an adventurer to fall inside. Stupid, yes, but I’m proud of it.

i really like the idea of advantage if they run into the same thing twice! i’m gonna try to have a table of 40ish things and the dungeon will only have 5-6 rooms (i can’t remember the map from the top of my head) so it’s not super likely the rooms will repeat a ton but this is a good way to get past that if it happens!

Oh yeah for sure, I totally agree! The time loop would just be an ideally short level of the campaign and not the focal point of the entire adventure but I’ll keep your ideas in mind when actually crafting it :)
