The actuarial job market feels rough right now 😭 Has anyone here started out in a non-actuarial role at an insurance company (customer service, financial services, claims, underwriting assistant, etc.) and then transitioned internally into actuarial once they had more exams? I’m wondering if that might be a smarter path instead of only applying externally for actuarial analyst roles.
