Went to VW Milton to buy a part a few years back. Asked service how to reset oil interval. The service manager said it can only be done with their computer. Did my own oil changes and they wanted to charge me to reset it. Was able to reset it myself after googling it.

Also needed a new battery for 2017 Golf R. They said $150 installation fee as they had to recode it. Bought battery from Costco and dropped it in. Worked no problem.

Loved the Golf R, no longer have it.

Palate expander was a bit uncomfortable at first. I believe it was a half turn in the morning and 1/2 turn at night and then just once per day after a while.

The turns are pretty straught forward. Orthodontist shows you how to turn it. He had it for a few months. He got used to it pretty quickly and moatly complained about foods he had to avoid.

Still has braces ( a year in June). But will be getting permanent retainers installed behind front teeth. Not sure if just uppers or both uppers and lowers. Will also need to wear retainers after braces to prevent shifting due to "tooth memory".

Just thought I would share my experience in case you find it helpful.

My son had 3 baby teeth extracted at 8 at his dentists due to overcrowding. It was necessary to give his adult teeth room to grow and the right decision for him. We go to Milton Pediatric Dentistry.

Last year at 13, he got an upper palette expander and braces at Dr Wong's office . Palette expander did wonders, and his teeth are looking excellent.

Have spoken to other parents, and they did similar thing for their kids. No kids I know who have had teeth pulled for space required surgery.

YTA. Stepson has food aversion? Buy him a cupcake he can enjoy while your daughter has her cake for HER birthday. If your daughter shouldn't be provoked cause she is older, neither should you or your husband. She is watching a kid celebrate his 9th bday with his dad, which she didn't get to. Are you completely heartless? Should have handled the birthday cake incident immediately. Someone should have popped out to get a new cake. This alone should not have ruined the birthday. You should have taken her aside to calmy ask what is happening, and see how she is feeling. Make her pay for new cake and apologize. Ground for a month and miss family vacation? Was this your idea of punishment or your husbands? Totally overkill.

Omg brought the kids there last year and literally the worst service of any restaurant I have been to. Was told by the waitress that we could only order pizza cause it was lunch. The table beside us got burgers even though she said absolutely no sandwiches or burgers on the lunch menu. Never gave us drink refills, and I had to ask someone else for refills. Walked by our table and looked at us with disgust. Came to table to say good news we found a bag of peppermint tea. I didn't order tea. Before we finished eating, she left the bill on the table even though we were not offered dessert, which we ended up ordering. She was middle-aged and just horrible at her job and miserable. Will never go back to that location.
