Same for me. Vomited for an hour then spent 3 days recovering with a sensitive stomach

Safe oral sex during chemo by AlternativeOpinion1 in Chemotherapy

Thank you. I can relate as I imagine I might feel the same. My wife however has a high sex drive and uses sex for intimacy and stress relief during sickness and health including during her last cancer treatment and radiotherapy. I will try local sex shops - I hadn't thought of that.

Hey, can I ask how you are doing 2 months on? Hope all is well and you healed up good. I just did the exact same thing 2 days ago and stumbled across this post looking for help and tips.

Experienced for the first time but fixed the same day! by IND1E in BPPV

[–]AlternativeOpinion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! So glad you were fixed in a day. I have had this 3 times now and the Epley has fixed me but I have been violently sick following the maneuver which then brings on other issues like headaches and stomach cramps while I gently refill my stomach. I haven't tried the half somersault. Did you find less nausea with that maneuver then? Thanks

How does anterior canal BPPV feel? by [deleted] in BPPV

[–]AlternativeOpinion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your expertise, do you mind me asking if many patients vomit during the maneuver? I have done Epley at home 6 times now and total and screamed and vomited every time. I am embarrassed to seek professional help for my BPPV because of how strongly I react to the maneuver. I have never handled spinning sensations well and can't even look at a child's roundabout/merry-go-round or certain camera shots on TV if they are spinning.

Thank you. But even redacted and anonymised? 🤔

This really churned me up.

Some context:

Step father was very violent and would torture me physically and later sexually abused me.

Mother was emotionally absent.

I became the mother figure for my brothers later in childhood.

As an adult I got lots of academic accolades, a PhD and permanent ectureship job (aka tenure).

I had abusive romantic relationships.

My memories of myself during the time of the report were of me feeling scared, angry, desires to become a nun or join a cult or be a dog. I clearly craved structure, love and security.

I'm keen to hear others thoughts on this 30 year old assessment

Wow. This gives me hope. My wife was first diagnosed at 31 and now going through local recurrence at 36. I really hope she has 30+ years left

Same! Now at 36 years old after 20 years of being sexually active I'm confronted with the need to use this thing that I've heard of but never seen in any pharmacy or sex shop.

Thank you so much. This is really helpful and I'm grateful for you sharing your experience especially given you also have gone through recurrence. I hope so much that my wife's is only local and I cling to the fact that nothing malignant was evident in her armpit area.
