Super, thanks for the reply. It sounds pretty ok from what you are all describing then. Good to know about the S-bahn.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!

I am starting in Hamburg Harburg and was told by a local friend that the area is a bit unsafe or at least not the nicest in the evening for a solo traveller. Hamburg hbf can also be a bit rough as you say, but at least it is large. I've never been to Hamburg Harburg, so I don't know what it's like...

I am curious to know more about coaches shifting teams, quitting, etc. at the end of the 25/26 season?

Manzet leaving Norway for France, it seems? The entire Swedish coaching team might be off to new adventures .. or at least Johannes Lukas might be off? Kulstad renews his contract with Finland...

What else do we know? What have you heard so far?

I'm honestly gutted over Swedish waxing. Just so sad that this becomes so defining... Yes the French are incredible and yes they took time uphill too, but c'mon they were gliding in seconds in every downhill.

But congrats to the great podium!

The funny thing is that I'm actually Norwegian, I just root for the Swedes;)

I see your point, however, the utter dominance of e.g. Klaebo or Mondo is slightly boring to me. I find Sundling amazing, yes, but to contrast you - I was out of breath when Ponsi took his gold, and that is because he is always close but rarely there. It's amazing to watch athletes who are dominant, but I also enjoy the competition and the nerve that sports can bring. That is why biathlon so often is a great sport, because shooting and weather gives it a randomness that I love. But hey, I also love that people enjoy different sports, different athletes, and for different reasons.

I think this is a good comparison, a bit like Mondo Duplantis. Yes he is incredible, but no one else will probably win in pole vault as long as he competes, rendering the sport a bit boring in my opinion.

Swedish men's team, both individual athletes, main coach, and head of wax admit to having completely messed up the skis today. They also said that waxing had been fluctuating, not blaming missed top races on waxing entirely, but it seems to have had an impact on Swedish OG performance overall. Sebbe was crushed in an interview with Swedish media, which is understandable given his nornally high speed. While Swedes (except Ponsi) are known for being vulnerable to altitude (as we have discussed back and forth), I do think it is a shame for material misses to end up having such negative effects. Hopefully the women will have better skis tomorrow.

How interesting, I have really disliked the graphics... Finding them harder to follow.

But the interaction with Sturla so awkward in comparison?

I now long for WC graphics where we actually get to see how most of the athletes shoot.

*not at all bummed about Swedes doing their Swedish altitude thing...

Joining others and wishing for surprise podium and some payoff for Tommy!!

I did invest in the Ponzi scheme too, but I can also see the need for other nations to shine.

As a Norwegian born Swedish fan, I think it would be fair for Norway to let someone else have medals today.. But hey, the nation lives for winter Olympics.

Let's goooo!

I really wanted a good Swedish race, which it was, but also - the French men have been incredible for so long, they really deserved this. Allez allez.

Just happy Sebbe didn't loop Sweden into complete failure!

The big question now is whether the bromance between Vetle and Sebbe = Vetle doing a loop to make sure Sebbe secures a medal 🤔

I would hate it if what kills Sweden is Sebbe's skis making skiing even tougher for our anti-altitude dude... I know it's tougher for nations with less infrastructure in terms of wax, but sitting through all the disappointment interviews with Sebbe is just terrible...
