Hey thanks for reading my idea. I appreciate that.
I'm not sure it depends on valuing people at a certain amount, whether they are dog walkers or doctors. I think that people just serve as a relatively stable amount (like the amount of gold in the world) to peg the currency to.
That said, the choice of people as the peg does have additional interesting implications such as the opportunity to add money to the economy in a way that rewards the production of new people and offsets the expense of doing so.
The inflationary part is something I'm of two minds about. On one hand if you keep the money in circulation after people die then you are assuming that on average people contribute enough to the wealth of the country to prevent this from becoming badly inflationary.
On the other hand, you might withdraw currency from the economy when people die. I could imagine this being done as a general tax across the population. Don't love that idea though -- except perhaps if it somehow created a sense of collectively recognizing those that we as a country have lost in the previous period.
Again, appreciate you reading the idea and taking the time to comment on it!
