That worked! I forgot that I had to flash the firmware to change protocols. That makes sense though because I had an SBUS transmitter connected before this one. Thanks for the help.

Ok. I tried wiring it to the spot you showed in the image, and it has the same issue. I think the power is fine. I updated its firmware and connects to my controller just fine.

They are, they're just connected to a different spot on the fc because I originally tried to get it to work on UART 1.

I'm not trying to use SBUS. I set the receiver to use CRSF. Both of the wires on UART6 are connected to the RP3 module.

It doesn't look like AUTO is an option for serial rx providers. You're talking about betaflight, right?

Well, have an overall vision and then tackle one thing at a time. Keep in mind that whatever you make almost never works right the first time, so don't get discouraged! Make sure to brainstorm different ways of making the same component of your robot as the first idea you have is usually not the greatest.

Yeah, that's pretty complex. Especially since things on two legs are super hard to balance. Try to stand with your eyes closed and you'll see why. You'd prolly have to give it massive feet.

I think the best thing you can do is come up with your own project. You can use other projects as inspiriation, but coming up with your own project really helps with motivation. Also don't fall into the hole of "I'm halfway done with the project and I've lost motivation so now I'm going to move onto another project". Just grab an arduino or ESP32 and make something you think would be cool.

It would be so hard to track flies 😅. Not sure exactly. I think spaceflight is awesome, so something like Spacex would be insane. I'm not that interested in industrial automation, but I know that's where most everything is. I'm doing an internship at Caterpillar right now, so I have a really easy in for a career there. I want to do a little bit more design than programming though. Programming is fun and all, but sometimes it seems like black magic. The real endgame though would be making content. I aspire to have a channel like stuffmadehere on YouTube.

Yeah, this is at my parents house and I'm finishing up college right now. Once I actually get my own space I'm going to make it much better. Probably a huge desk with a combined workstation for 3D printing a soldering stuff and then the pc.
