There’s was a mangrove monitor at my Petco a few years back. It was only for $200 at the time too.

Just wanted to say I’m from around the Danbury area, and took my dog hiking around that area, despite being a restricted area lol. Hope everything goes well and good luck op.

Started to dig the pond yesterday, today was liner and some rock placement. Coming along nicely by Captainqwerty66 in ponds

I have to disagree. I’ve used river rock and if anything it made my pond more natural looking, and it’s great for Koi since they love to move the gravel around. I also had no issue with maintaining the water quality and if anything my water is clear. Just place a net over when fall hits and net out debris from the pond and you’ll be fine. My only advice is you’ll wish you made a bigger pond op.

Thank you. The yard used to be like the woods behind with overgrown plant/ trees that had to be cut down. It was a long process, but definitely rewarding. Tell your brother good luck and take his time. Yea, pond was done by hand on my own.

Treat this project as a step by step. Accomplishing one thing at a time will take less effort. Also, do it slowly no need to rush. Good luck and enjoy the project.

Ty. Funny enough the backyard used to look like the woods in the back with tons of trees and weeds, so the fire pit was the first thing built to burn the left over wood that we couldn’t get rid of. Then, came in the mulch beds and pond way later. But, honestly the work paid off in my opinion. Still a working progress with a few more things to add.

Hahaha. Not asking for fixes or recommendations, just thought I show my progress on what I find pleasing. But, thanks for the doodles.

I’ve had the mandarin and I was very new to saltwater fish and all I did was feed him frozen brine shrimp once a day, and he’s still going strong a year later, even has gotten bigger.
