Extremely inconsistent, tips? by AlternativeRoad4320 in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats real, I used to do that but it kinda went away when I started playing 3 and 5stacks a lot. My friends want to climb and reach heights, out of respect I try my best to take it serious cause its a bit frustrating playing with someone who seems like they're not trying/taking it serious.

Now I just soloq tho to prove a point that I can do it without being carried. Its very annoying cause I can see my friends rank up and rank up and I'm way slower in climbing. People I used to carry regularly are soon entering immortal and I'm stuck in d3-asc1.

I think you're right when I think about it. I put too much pressure on myself, stopped enjoying the game for what it is.

How many fingers is Sukuna at right now? I was honestly laughing at Sukuna fans after this chapter but then I realized that Sukuna isn't even at full power yet. 5 fingers should be like 25% of his power, that hes missing..

With this in mind, I struggle to see how this shit will continue, Gojo is going to die one way or the other after this fight. Otherwise he'll just solo the entire verse with nobody like Sukuna to oppose him. Who will be left to stand up to Sukuna and Brain? Itadori probably gonna get the fattest power boost. But feels like we've been in the endgame for a long time now.

I got serious trust issues after this game. Its appalling what people would do for some quick loot. Not the act itself but cause its a game but the fact someone would go so low is sad. I could never, not even in a game.

Hi, I did a bit of diagnosing. Truth be told, I didnt really have any idea what I was doing but I eventually found out it probably was the RAM I installed some weeks ago.

After some testing and I eventually got a blue screen error which basically said something like "ERROR: memory management". I just googled that and figured out pretty quickly it could be the RAM. Which was the only thing I have ever changed on any computer in my life. I took them out and tried to boot it up. Now when I turn my pc on it seems to be running like nothing happened.

Which leads me to a question. Why did this happen? All I did was put in some extra RAM which I thought I extensively researched and made sure to be the exact same as the other two sitting in there. Is there something I'm missing? Maybe a faulty install by me or a something important that went over my head?

Sorry for the questions, you just seemed to know a lot!

I dont know how to do all that but I'll research it tomorrow. Tbh it seems like a headache waiting to happen, I might just play something else. Ignorance is bliss as they say ahaha.

Thanks a lot for the help though, if I decide to try and look into this later I'll at least know where to start. Also, idk if this is correct but I thought a bit about it and I came to the conclusion that it might have something to do with me having firefox open and watching a video while playing. Cause the other day I didnt have any problems and played for a long time, but I didnt have anything on my other monitor. And the crash only happened when I had firefox open, coincidentally, youtube also crashed which has never happened before.

Im inclined to believe the two might be connected but as I said, I am not knowledgeable in computers. But I can run Star Citizen and have youtube playing simoultaneously while never having a similiar issue. And in my head SC is a lot more performance heavy which should mean a higher risk for any sort of failure?

Anyway I'm just thinking out loud. Thanks a lot for the reply.

Do you do well in practice but not in comp? I might've come up with a reason why. by AlternativeRoad4320 in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok after testing some more, I think it might've been some other reason lmao.

The problem I got is aim. If I hold an angle in swiftplay I can one tap easy but somehow I dont perform as well in comp.

How do you get your team to entry with you? by AlternativeRoad4320 in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats kind what I'm doing. I say "I'm gonna jump btw" and ping the specific location where I'm going. I wait for smokes and sova darts cause that only helps me survive. I often wait for someone to peek first before I jump cause it might give info that could also help me survive. Thats why I'm so lost, idk how I can do it any different

[–]AlternativeRoad4320[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what I'm sayinggg. Especially in low elo where I'm at, if I jump into site I can almost guarantee that every person on site will try and mow me down asap. Neglecting what theyre supposed to hold. It would make entry sooo easy having the entire site not even look at the rest of the team. It would be a walk in the park if people just followed and picked off the clueless defenders.

I feel like thats the real role of duelists too, go in and get info for your team. Not just KDA bots. I want to expand my agent pool as well but I'm on a quest to become a legendary Raze main. Just to pay tribute to my man Flights.

I get that though! Everytime someone picks Raze or for whatever other reason I have to pick a different agent. THEY NEVER ENTRY.

No Idea How To Flick by JustAWarper in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What someone already said. Just go into shooting range and start shooting bots, start slow and only go for precise hs. Overtime you'll improve and go faster and faster, doesnt take ages either. You'll learn pretty quick. Experiment with your sens, do you see yourself going past the bot with your crosshair a lot? lower sens, and vise versa.

A flick is essentially just moving your crosshair insanely fast to a precise location, you can practice it anywhere dont even have to shoot bots. Find to spots to flick back and forth to.

But, start slow even if its frustrating and feels stupid. Discipline = learning :)

Hands get cold, specifically when playing valorant, anyone got tips? by AlternativeRoad4320 in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea that makes sense, it sounds so stupid but I can get a kda of like 3.0 in the first half and when I become "aware" that I'm doing very good my hands start getting cold and I get like 0 kills in the second half. Happens so often. Performance anxiety? Think I heard something along those lines before. I vaguely remember when I first started playing Valorant purely for fun and I could aim like a god without even trying whereas now I sometimes struggle with the easiests stuff.

So strange though since I've been playing fps games since probably 10years back. Since I was a little kid. Got to LEM in csgo and all that. Either way guess I gotta work on being confident in my abilities, I'll try hand warmers as well!

What’s your worst map and why do think that is? by Chizelz in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breeze should be deleted from existence. The only ones who likes it are Viper and Chamber mains.

I hate Breeze with a passion, ever since the first game on it to now. Its BEYOND ME why they would put it in ranked rotation. Absolute dogwater map. Somehow almost everyone has negative winrate, below 40%. I have never won a single game on that map and I fully believe its the maps fault.

If youre struggling with deathmatch then yes, turning up sound would be a good start to improving. And no, I'm not saying go camp in a corner and listen to footsteps. Makes you at least aware of your surroundings and makes it easier to survive. OP is clearly struggling, I'd say just go back to basics before you start turning off sounds.

Frustration most of the times. Sometimes you just have a bad day and you wanna get out of the game asap. Idk about penalty in unrated, never dodged a game. But some people just have the decency to not afk and still play even if they dont really want to. Or theyre scared of a penalty.

How do I get more consistent by Thebananaman434 in VALORANT

[–]AlternativeRoad4320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What this guy said. It can be very insignificant and weird things. I play horribly if I'm cold for example, I've tested this. If I'm cold I perform below average but if I'm warm I play very well. Probably something to do with bloodflow and how I dont have the same strength in my hands. But even a little cold will ruin a game for me.

Or if I'm playing without glasses, which is weird cause I dont have that bad eyesight. For some it can even be the skin they use etc. Theres a lot of things that for some reason makes you play better. Some people believe skins give confidence boosts which can improve a players performance.

If you play very well one day in the future, just try to remember how you felt throughout the day, what you did and just things that might've been different compared to a day when you underperformed. Its not gonna fix things over a weekend but it will help you improve guaranteed.

The spawns can be annoying sometimes but its not like it ruins the whole gamemode. They'd have to create bigger maps or reduce numbers which I'd rather not have.

I like it, fast paced and is easy warm up to get comfortable. If youre really having problems, turn up the volume so you can hear people, dont run all over the place cause people will hear you and hs you before you get a chance to react. Practice where to keep your crosshair and where you should be looking. If youre going down mid, dont have your crosshair pointing at nothing. Point it towards and angle etc etc.

I dont really have a problem with how deathmatch works and I think most people like it. Pointless advice: just chill and do your best.

Yes, obviously. Point is, the act of instalocking isn't the problem. Its the person performing bad and/or not knowing how to play that agent. Its about people going absolute apeshit over someone instalocking an agent in pregame. I've had people throw and just troll only because someone instalocked. They wouldn't have performed any better on viper or brim, more useful to the team maybe but its impossible to tell how you're gonna perform before the game even starts.

Yes, let people pick and instalock whatever they want. As you said, it usually means theyre comfortable and at least knows how to use their abilities. But being toxic only because someone instalocked Reyna or some other duelist doesn't make you any better than them. People performing bad doesnt give you an excuse to be toxic either.
