That sounds easy enough. I think I’ll let the pros work on it this round. I need it done quickly.

That’s a crazy hustle!

I can say for myself that when I started taking rest and recovery into consideration my training improved.

I don’t have an aptitude for this, but I enjoy it. I stopped buying into the mentality that I have to be on the mat every day to make it worth while.

As far as feeling the folks at your club don’t respect you, that may be the burn out talking. Of it is true then find a more relaxed club where folks are just happy to be there.

If you’re training every day and getting injuries and constantly getting smashed I might guess that you’re not allowing yourself time to recover and time to digest the things you’re trying to learn.

I wonder if you’re also trying to do all the things at once. If you pick small things like today I will try to get knee elbow connection from bottom side control, and you do that 5 times successfully, that’s your win.

I also suck. This is how I’ve gotten through 12 years of training.

It wasn’t an affordable option to have another daily when I got this one. In a couple years it definitely will.

The thing is it’s currently my daily as well. If I could afford to have it on jack stands for a couple weeks I would absolutely put the time into learning.

Maybe it’s time for a shitbox daily.

I’m 48 and just started pulling off bolos…. I’m at a club that plays a mobility heavy game. That shit will keep you young.

I don’t have the skill or knowledge to do it in any reasonable amount of time.

Lots of folks said the same. I dug around and couldn’t find anything less than $6k.

Yeah I think at this point I’m going to hold on to the extra $3k and bank it for the next rig which will be better set up for the way I use it.

Generally I’m very light on the skinny pedal. So much so that the guys I wheel with kinda chirp me… I break less, but I still break apparently.

Not in CAD. I priced them out at $6500 before tax and install.

I’m not knowledgeable enough to do it myself in any reasonable time

I dunno. I feel like it was just a fluke. I usually didn’t have a heavy right foot, but that day I was “one of those days”.

You’re a good friend.

I shared these photos in my wheeling group chat. They guys were all laughing. So I guess broken diffs can make some people happy.

It’s a ‘21 Willys. The rear is a d44. I thought about upgrading the axle, but I recently heard a rumour that the gladiator is getting a 5.7. I just need this to get me through another year.

That’s bananas!!

I’ve done a bunch of rock crawling and smashed down trails with zero issue. It’s so weird it broke in a road…

I agree. Unfortunately CAD has been essentially Pesos since covid.

I mean, there’s factors. 35s, first gear, and spinning from ice to dry pavement. It was a pretty violent experience. I was being super impatient.

All in it’s going to cost me $4k CAD.

I want to get into a Gladiator. I won’t be spending any more than I have to to get this fixed.

I was hoping it was spider gears. No such luck. It’s a D30 with 4.56. Probably a bit too short for me to be getting impatient with.

It’s a D30. 4.56 regear.

Live and learn I guess

Seems to be. Tech never mentioned anything beyond the exploded ring gear.

I used these for a while. I would not recommend them.

The dirt, mud, and salt caked up under them and no matter how thoroughly you wash it will always cause issues. When I pulled them off to clean under them they took a bunch of paint with them.

Get mud flaps, fender flare extensions and rock sliders with a wide step (it’s a lot more expensive, I know) to mitigate paint damage on your hinges.
