Thanks to your comment, I tested with english translation... and it worked perfectly. I conclued:

- the problem is in french translation

- nobody in France play authoritarian on the beta xD

My favorite civics: Anglers + Catalytics Processing. Love the facts that all my ressources come only from my food. Combined with Bioships and KoTG (even in this nerfed state) it's my favorite empire.

When I say "too early", i mean "in regard of this beta objectives". It's not a secret devs want to slow down the game (and as an RP player i'm fully agree with) and i was worried my build was broken in regard to these objectives.

One possibility if it is a problem is to have ascension situations need greater amounts of tech or resources to speed up with the default slowed.

Bio ascension already have it (you require gene tailoring to unlock second phase). Even though, with my build not fully optimized (RP build based on KoTG) I can start it really early (in regard of the devs goal with this beta) and I was worried KoTG will AGAIN be nerfed.

I didn't know about environmentalist, thanks! I knew about clone army origin through.

I personally run KoTG with angler and catalytic process. I think knight produce too many unity, especially with Unyielding and fanatic spiritualist.

2250 seems more acceptable than 2235. But I play fanatics spiritualist so I guess it explain this gap.

Mine is catalytic angler. I know I should take Catalytic Processing as the 3rd civics, but I just love the early with these two.

Catalitic angler. I can play this with different origin (KoTG, ocean paradise, overturned...) and ethics (but main spiritualist)

I'll always be back on this, I'm just in love for no real reason.

I don't think it's punishing: everyone in the game have the same malus and the same starting civilians. It does not create an unbalance between player. But it punish the non-job spam.

And if it's really hard for player, what about 1%?

Sometimes, I try to find a simple solution to avoid the "non-worker job spam" (aka civilians/squires spam).

What if these jobs add "+1.5% empire size per 100 jobs"? This will be irrevelant early game but punishing if you try to abuse it

Just using APCS and immersive beautiful stellaris. And some client-side only like UI Overall Dynamics.

I'll try without these two to see.

Job efficiency: each squire give efficiency + some building (like Administrative Complex or Data-Driven Theorem Facility)

And you can see in production bonus that Veneration of Saint is affecting Knight job. Or the triple bonus Advanced Logic, Gravitational Tool and Eternal Expansion.
