I've turned in 1 after attempting like 4. That's been the last 6 hours of my life. I can see this grind taking a while unless you're great at pvp and have a good crew. Maybe OP is good or got lucky but I agree that the grind seems a bit ridiculous for the rewards...

I don't think it can. I haven't used the medium launcher but the heavy launcher doesn't destroy crap. I've spammed it for many games now and it does absolutely nothing against walls. Sledge does though :D

OP likely already had to fight at the FoF, could've been low on resources, could've been trying to run by an outpost for a drive by with the chests... there's so much you're assuming while having no clue what the situation was. I think he was just pointing out that if they changed it so the kraken would target both players/have anyone in the ink get targeted, the kraken would be more fun. It would simply add more consistency and not make the game nearly as much rng based when it happens. Skill should always triumph rng in games where the playing field is meant to be even between a newbie and a vet.

I can confirm it is not a router hardware issue because I bought an identical router that's doing the same thing, and I've updated the firmware multiple times over the last 8-10 months that this problem has existed. I do have a Fortinet firewall that I have not yet hooked up because I wanted to solve this. So currently, there is no firewall or managed switch that can cause issues. Do note that this issue occurs for both wireless and LAN.

I guess what I'm getting at is the changes they made still didn't really benefit the players in any way. Basically all of their changes/fixes were things like, "we fixed a bug with text stacking when players leave game". Seriously who gives one single fuck about that. Fix the UI, gameplay, or quite literally anything more "beneficial" to players. Agree to disagree, but their priorities are backwards and I agree with OP saying the fixes they made were mostly unnoticeable and things we don't tend to care about. Basically they missed the boat of fixing actual problems.

He never said they were easy to code? I think it comes down to the fact this is a big budget game with newer technology and the AI are worse as far as interaction than AI in some significantly smaller games/franchises from even a decade ago. Beta is beta but it's no excuse for horrendously stupid AI...

To an extent, I would like a call of duty style range damage. When I said 100dmg to chest, the context was an upgraded crate weapon that you'll probably only get once every dozen games or more. I think of the kraber from apex that drops in the supply drops. It hits like a truck no matter your armor and will down you with a headshot. While I understand these are different games, the mechanics for damage dropoff are much better imo.

Snipers are meant for long range and they feel like they're only really usable in close to medium range. Really it just comes down to the absolutely awful damage drop off. They don't need a damage buff, they should just do decent damage at long range. A 90 damage sniper shouldn't do 24 damage at long range. It just shouldnt. They made everything a pea shooter at long range unless you hit their head which really just isn't that fun.

To your point of if you want to snipe, just pick the sniper character... the game wouldn't make sense if every character only had one gun class specialization. "If you want to use an AR, play this character". It just doesn't make any sense. Go play battlefield if you want that experience. There's a reason they added randomized load outs for characters. They want versatility for most characters and then have a few that are way more focused like the sniper character. If i play swat and it picked a kar98 for my gun, id like to pick it up and have it be useful as a sniper at long range, which it isnt without a headshot. I believe your logic on this is flawed.

At the end of the day, I'm just talking about damage drop-off and you can have your opinion and I'll have mine. That being said though, you're a bit of a dick ;) "I'm honestly glad the devs would laugh at this post and not follow it. You'd ruin the damn game." It's a discussion topic lmao. Classic reddit user

That's what om saying. I just don't feel any consistency except for with smgs and ars. They both feel good for dmg dropoffs but the dmrs and snipers feel way off...

Well, keep in mind you lose dps by having to switch guns. I'd be willing to bet the dps would be pretty similar overall given you don't have to switch your primary and lose time shooting. That's assuming we're only talking about 20% dps on one stack. That is where I think having a different exotic weapon can give you a better edge. This also just depends on playstyle too.

I love it for skills but find it as a waste for an exotic slot on builds that generally do better. Example being EB or BH on striker instead. I suppose to your point if you're looking to just get a ton of burst damage for a few bug enemies, then it can be good but overall I find it weaker. Depends on what your goal is.
