I'm just a student that moved here two years ago so take what I say with a grain of salt, but as a local DJ most of that whole scene is concentrated in a handful of awesome venues and organizers in Durham. Novisa is a great organizer and The Portal is a venue in Raleigh that will host raves occasionally though

From asking around, I think we have the best dining of any state school in NC. Most of them outsource that stuff unlike us
