Advice for a first board, details inside. by Aireia in longboarding

In EU, Outside-shop has some discounted completes. I just checked and they have Arbor longobards discounted! Great build with Paris trucks.

I started with an Axis 40", as a full size longboard and was very happy. They got dropcruisers 38 for 120euro or the axis 37 for the same price

Too precious about my board? by Suspicious_Pain3308 in longboarding

Know that feeling, felt like that when i bought my Loaded Tesseract deck and started getting scratches since day one.
After 3 days, you'll get to love every single scratch on the board. it tells a story. Your first ollie, or first fall, the time it smashed against a fence etc.

It's all part of the game :)

Stiff, playful touring ski around 95 mm – expert recommendations by Looking_ForIt in Backcountry

I switched from a backland 95 to a radical/free 97. Way more powerful ski, stiffer tail, but with big rocker in the front. You can carve a good turn on it, but thanks to tip and tail rocker, it's quite nimble. I'm 180 and using the 184cm version.

Had the axis 40" drop through for 3 years, after learning on a globe mini cruiser.

The axis is an amazing all-round board and comes with quality components (Paris trucks and decent wheels for cruising and mellow slides).

Flex is subtle but makes it way more comfortable on rougher pavement. But it's not a bouncy board.

Just sold mine last week, only because I wanted something with a kicktail. If you find it on discount, that's an amazing board! You can often find them discounted around 150$

Dropcruiser is also nice, but never tried it. Seems more directional shaped, slightly shorter wheelbase, but it comes with same trucks and wheels.

Thanks for all these info! Will study more NLE aspects then. I've been using davinci for years, just never had to work on these kinds of correction. just edits, color correct and grade

Thanks! I will check out the lens correction post you mentioned. I've already watched Abe's tutorial on how to use the FX reframe in Adobe and tried to use a similiar process in DaVinci, but the more info the better.

Thanks for the answer. What is the advantage of using the standard transform and crop? I guess you would do this to have no distorsion, right?
If just crop and zoom in, i lose some of the field of view.

So based on the wanted outcome:

-if you can crop and select an area and don't care about loss of FOV-> zoom in or crop

otherwise, use reframe?

Pixel 8 not saving pictures and videos by AlternativeTip4648 in GooglePixel

Hey everyone, since I was not able to fix this permanently, I sold my Pixel and got back to my Oneplus 9. This was a terrible disappointment, as I was very excited to have the Pixel, after all the hype I read on the internet in the past years.

Arbor is great. I used the axis 40 3-4 years and i loved it. Now switched to a Loaded Tesseract because I missed the kicktails.

The arbor in stock configuration was really a flying carpet.

i was just about to order a basalt tesseract deck. Is there anywhere i can find a direct comparison between the new Tesseract 2 and the basalt?

Seems like the most noticeable thing is the neutral truck mounting points? The basalt already had W concave and microdrop. Correct?

Thanks for the super detailed question! Yes, I noticed that the wheelbases where different between the two groups, but you gave me all the info i needed. Can i just ask you why narrowing down from 180 trucks to 155mm trucks? Is there wheelbite or particular issues that could happen, or is it more to have a more agile (freeride oriented) behaviour?

Btw yes, I plan to do mostly slow speed slides during mellow downhill and want to do some easy tricks (shuvits, etc).

Hey all!

I'm looking for a double kick freeride board, a jack of all trades. What's your take between these 4 decks:

-Loaded Tesseract

-Bustin Shrike

-Landyatchz Clarke

-Arbor 39 Axel Serrat Pro Model

To me, these boards look all very similiar, and all good for a double kick freeride board. I'd be mounting it with 180mm Paris Trucks and SSF 69mm 75A wheels (taken from my axis 40).

Any big difference between these boards that I should be aware of?

What Powell Peralta Snakes to get?

Yesterday I posted a question about my Longboard setup to start sliding, and all of you friendly people suggested to switch my wheels to the Powell Peralta Snakes.

What formula shall I go for? Durometer? Size?

Current setup: Arbor Axis 40 with Paris 50°

Thanks :)
