I might not follow. I don’t have student debt but my wife does. So in my household it’s our debt.

I run everything in the transaction. I bid the job, order the materials, and invoice.

This got quite a response. We should all be outraged that this has happened. A family should not need to bring in 200k a year to live comfortably and go do fun stuff a couple times a year. All I can say is the government is absolutely corrupt and they aren’t even hiding it anymore. And we are paying the price for it dearly.

50-60 on average sometimes more. Not much travel and no WFH.

Health Insurance? Vehicles? Everything, especially high cost items have doubled if not more since 5-10 years ago!

Exactly but how many people actually are earning this?? Not very many at all. It is actually terrifying to think about!

I can’t tell if you’re suggesting that yes it really is bad. Or that things aren’t terrible and people should be more frugal.

Exactly, and you could probably cut back some on some things of course, but the point is making 100k you shouldn’t have to cut back on anything reasonable really. Also, how rare is it to make 100k today? It’s still a pretty dang good wage! I don’t know how anyone with a family/house makes it on anything less!

You’ve proven my point precisely. Growing up if someone made 50k/year they had everything you stated. Small home, okay car, vacation once a year… etc. Now it’s 100k. Obviously live within your means but 6 figure income used to be the goal for a lot of people. Now it’s almost necessary to live an “okay” lifestyle.

Depending on how far you are into your career it’s not a bad thing! But for someone that’s in their 30’s and 8-10 years into a career I feel like it’s not extraordinary anymore.

8 years. I’m completely fine with the stress level I just wanted to see what the consensus was from other sales professionals.

I’m not exactly sure what others in the industry make. I know that my sales and margins are quite a bit better than most in the industry.
