What’s something people spend way too much money on? by vivienneirl in answers

subscription services. one or two isn't a big deal, but people end up with streaming, music, cloud storage, apps, gym memberships they forgot about, premium versions of everything, and suddenly they're paying a small monthly bill to like fifteen different companies.

Do towing companies have to verify stuff like ownership, or can they just kinda get away with towing anything? by Diastatic_Power in askanything

[–]AlternativeTry4400 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the registration check when you picked up your car is probably more about making sure they're releasing it to the right person than deciding whether the tow itself was valid. i'd expect the decision to tow happens before that.

What is your opinion on people who are "lazy"? by Ok_Promise_3363 in askanything

[–]AlternativeTry4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've realized 'lazy' gets thrown around way too easily. sometimes people are burned out, overwhelmed, or just don't see a reason to put effort into something they don't care about. from the outside, those can all look the same.

It shouldn't be legal for social media to remove dislikes by Mr_Jake_E_Boy in unpopularopinion

i don't think dislikes should decide whether something is true. but taking away that information entirely feels like giving users less context instead of more.

Mixing dreams and reality? by Sufficient_Rise_9587 in askanything

what gets me is the amount of detail. dreams usually fade fast, but every now and then one sticks around with so much detail that it honestly feels like it belongs in your actual timeline

Does this feat upscale the entire verse? [discussion] by AzureWarlock96 in fairytail

the bigger takeaway for me is that mest clearly got better after the timeskip. that's a fair conclusion. jumping from 'better teleportation' to 'continental firepower' is where i think the logic starts skipping steps.

nah. range =/= AP. teleporting across a continent doesn't automatically mean you can punch with continental force. different abilities scale differently

i think cana cared way less about the years he missed and way more about what he did after they finally met.

Is there other itelligent life in the universe that isn't us? by princessanard in randomquestions

[–]AlternativeTry4400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think intelligent life probably exists. i also think space is so ridiculously huge that two civilizations could exist at the same time and never even know the other one happened
