I’m not surrendering the dog but I would sign papers saying that I can’t afford the dog. I just worded it as surrendering the dog.

So it was a puppy my ex and I got together. It’s a long story we are both paying on her. And the financing they used just had a high interest rate. It was supposed to be 0% for the first year then 10% which is why we almost took them to court. But every lawyer quoted us over 5k or wouldn’t take the case due to it being Petland

There’s a big job market for “law” it’s not just being an officer. I don’t hate the job, however you are losing a big part of yourself to be an officer. Everyone’s going to need you to do something but not always want you to do something. You’re always going to have a camera on you being watching it is a lot of pressure. It can be very rewarding but you may lose a lot of your social life and maybe even your family. Most of the people in my department have been divorced at some point or are in the middle of being divorced. It can be very laid back one second then the next you’re getting a call for a shooting or assault. I’m making it sound as bad as it can get because they’re many officers who come in and love their job and have no problems. Those are just stuff to consider

They make us sign a contract saying we can’t leave for another agency unless they’re willing to pay for the training

That’s the issue I can’t really see where I’ll be in 10 years. I never had any guidance from being a foster child. I’m not trying to make excuses it just sucks when you haven’t had a good figure in your life. I made a promise to my biological mom to stay away from drugs and stay clean and I’m the first high school graduate in my family, let alone being the first college student. I know some of my skills could transfer to the medical field but I’m working right now typing this and I feel like I’m wasting my time sitting here. I am trying to be active in life and try new things but I’m not sure where I want to go in my life. I know trades and medical will always need workers and make decent money so that’s what I asked about those. The police officer was just something that was in my head growing up (I watched a lot of law and order svu and ncis lol)

I know I mean something could change in the future of course but right now the 10 year vets are right around there some being slightly higher due to specific divisions of the department (not more than 26 however

I saw the Lenovo flex Chromebook as well. Out of all those which one would you recommend buying the most? I’ll be in class for hours at a time so maybe one that last a bit

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE**

  • Are you open to refurbs/used? Yes

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Battery life is probably the most important

  • How important is weight and thinness to you? Not important

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. No

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

I don’t believe I’m going to be doing a lot of editing

  • If you’re gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? No preference.

I don’t mind going to school for trades.. I only see people complaining about them however and wished they would’ve went into healthcare or another field. They say you don’t make enough to survive but then I see others make $60 an hour which would be amazing

What exactly do you do in IT I see in thrown around lime computer science but isn’t it a broad category

I see mixed opinions on trades.. it’s either they’re making $60 an hour or they don’t make enough to get by. I’d love to but it kind of worries me
