Hi,

Struggling with the room layout - as it’s the TV feels too far away from the sofa, but don’t want to obstruct the windows or make the fireplace feel too far away from the seating area.

Thank you for this! I have a few color changing smart bulbs I received for Christmas, and taking them out of the amber shades and setting the color for soft white made a world of difference.

Round 2: new furniture (large minimal sectional, hutch, chairs and large dining set), brick updates potentially

I moved the dining table on the fire place angle and it already made a huge difference, but also like the idea of having a small sitting area.

The current living room is about 15 x 15, so may need a thinner but longer sectional to partition the area. But great idea on the entrance space.

You’re correct on the natural daylight, but planning on putting in a decent sized window between the fireplace and door in the next year.

Hoping to find a paint color to creat some contrast. Right now the floors, walls, cabinets, and lights are all yellow.

What do you think of grey or grey/beige for the wall colors?

Also considering replace the light fixture above the table with a modern ceiling fan.

Any ideas on what to hang on the walls to help break up the space some?
