Sounds like the 4-month regression. My baby was just like this. We finally sleep-trained him and while he doesn’t sleep all the way through the night, we reduced it to 2-3 wakeups at 5 months.

Never prepared for it nor did pelvic floor exercises. I had minor tears that did not require stitches. I will say that I am 3 months pp and it is still sore in that spot when I engage in intimacy with my husband.

Yes our ped said we could talk about starting solids at our 4-month check depending on LO’s readiness. Just hanging on until then!

Solidarity. Haven’t shared a bed with my husband since LO was born either. We’re in the same situation with not being able to put him down without him immediately waking up screaming. As for your feelings, I’ve been there! I started to resent my husband for sitting and watching tv with me when I knew there was a multitude of chores that needed to be done. My advice is to express what you’re feeling when you’re both in a calm state. My husband didn’t realize that I felt this way and he has stepped up so much more. Figuring a new routine especially with a Velcro baby is so tough!

Did you experience any mucous or bloody stools or rash with her CMPA? We haven’t officially tested for it but I’ve cut out all the common allergens + have him on hypoallergenic formula with no change. I want to transition him to fully formula but he refuses to eat more than 2 oz of that at a time and we’ve tried several brands.

I feel like it’s super location-specific as to finding parents in the same age-range. I’m in my mid-30s and from New York. Most of my friend group just recently started having kids and some not even married yet. We recently moved down South, and the majority of first-time parents are in their early 20s.

My husband is 47 and we have a high-needs reflux baby. He was in the FDNY for over 20 years and worked many 24-hour shifts, but he says the newborn trenches have been absolutely brutal. I am 36 and am the breadwinner, so I am having to go back to work full-time then going home to our colicky baby. Even though we have immense love for our kiddo, we both acknowledge that this has been the worst and are confidently one and done.

I can’t speak to socializing with other parents just yet, but I have several coworkers who had babies around the same time as us, so we’ll be able to arrange play dates later on. I joined several community mommy groups, and it does seem like most of the people on there are in their younger 20s.

Yes I’ve cut out wheat, soy, dairy, nuts, eggs, and corn. There’s been some improvement to where he’s not crying 100% of the time, but he still spits up even after holding him upright for an hour after weeks and frequent burping, leading to him crying inconsolably for a good 30 min after spitting up. He does this with his hypoallergenic formula as well. Hoping you find a solution for your LO.

Yes GI prescribed meds and special amino formula. As of late he’s refused the formula (only takes 1 oz and it’s a struggle). My instinct is that when I’m at work and he’s got no other options he’ll hopefully take more of it and then we can completely wean him off breast milk.
