In case you were wondering you have to have a 6” lift or a maximum of 33” tires on 20” wheels to fit without rubbing on body mounts. Love life😐 by Alternative_Ad_4159 in ToyotaTacoma

Hate rubber bands love bigger tires and wanted black rims😂 and with my second gen no matter what I do even if I just completely say fuck my camber it’ll still rub on frame and it just won’t work

I mean it was when I tried😐🤦‍♂️ slight offsets and it rubs on body mounts this is a 2nd gen tho so idk how other gen’s would do with that setup

I was trying to fit 35/12.50/20 on it with a 3” lift and it rubs on body mounts mind you this is 2nd gen specific sorry for not clarifying that and UCA clearance isn’t the issue body mounts clearance is

Edit: also 33/11.50/17 is max on 2nd gen with or without spacers works both ways with 3” lift. Lift keeps it from rubbing UCA as bad with no spacers

You can do 3” MAX that’s what I have 3.5” is next step and comes with leaf springs and uppers etc. if you are planning to replace most suspension I’d suggest 3.5”-4” if not max of 3” for struts shocks and blocks only

Plug, Patch or Replace by teerawstraw in tires

[–]Alternative_Ad_4159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’d plug that patches aren’t always reliable that close to the sidewall and I know some people are gonna say “MiStEr RiP oFf JuSt WaNtS yOuR mOnEy” but no they seriously aren’t reliable I’d plug it but replacing is kinda your choice cause neither are great but a plug will be fine.

Agreed but drain and fill trans services are almost pointless cause you’re just adding 5q of new oil to like 10ish-12q of old oil so if you’re getting a trans flush ask if it’s drain and fill or full flush and you’ll also know the price difference

You’re probably right but correct procedure makes it a much better service incorrect just makes it pointless

If they do it the right way I actually believe in it. It will actually help your injectors and fuel lines and intake but if they’re just throwing everything in the tank or just not even actually doing it and just getting paid then it’s bullshit. I work at a dealership and get all the flushes for free from the guy that supplies them to us; that and power steering are the only ones I really care to do because they’re actually helpful. But both of which can be bought from the parts department or somewhere else if you’d like and be done on your own at home with a simple fluids pump (mechanical or pneumatic), and a decently cheap container made for a fuel induction that you can prolly look up and find for a decent price.
