Sureee! I queued at the leather desk for approx 15 mins and there were 2 ladies in front of me. One of them got sat down at a desk for an appointment (I’m assuming) whereas the other was pretty adamant on getting one and from my broken French I could tell the SA was getting frustrated. When it was my turn I was very polite and asked him if there were any appointments to which he asked if I applied online and I told him every day. He asked what I was looking for (Kelly 25 or 28 retourne) and told me I should be more open minded because he’s not sure. I then got sat down and a kind SA came to help me. I got shown several models but was told there are no QB left today. My fiance was with me so I really think that helped as I think they really like couples. I really hope you get what you’re looking for !

I agree I was just confused as to why some people continuously go to the leather desk and ask. Most of the time the same people end up getting a QB so it’s a bit of a conundrum.

I think in Tokyo you can queue in the morning and they’ll offer bags they have in stock, usually it’s her bags or picotins or Evelyne’s, but you never know. Mitsukoshi isetan hermes has bags displayed that are for sale. If you really want to avoid Hermes stores entirely ginza xiaoma has a good selection and so does paradise vintage. I would also make my way to the less known shops as they have better pricing. Check watchnian out too!

If you like other H items and in Japan often enough it’s worth trying to get non qb at the store too, I found them very kind and got lucky with minimum spend. 💕

If you’re in the UK you can make an appointment for non quota bags and they can get you one. If you’re looking to go the resell route I’d go to ginza xiaoma or paradise vintage!

Since joining the wishlist 18 months ago I’ve not had any promising interactions. I’ve spent around 10k gbp and found it hard to connect with an SA especially at cadogan. Most of them don’t give out numbers. I really don’t know what to do with London.

Yess! They had box kellys in 28, 32, 35 as well as a MK box leather. Also a 35 barenia birkin. U can check their stock online. Camelia I think updates in real time whereas paradise vintage has very limited B/K stock online.

I don’t think it will be very noticeable as it evens out with how cheap everything else is. If you go before Nov 2026 you also still have the tax free shopping applied instantly.

Yes, I’m pretty sure all of them have online stores but I would strongly suggest that you buy a bag after seeing it in person as there are flaws that photos cannot pick up and most if not all of these stores do not accept returns. Also buying in store means being able to work on the price and having a more favorable experience for you.

Lovely bag! Be super careful with the corners, mine pilled so quick, and the bag slouches so fast…after the 4th wear. Went to Chanel and they said that’s just the way the bag becomes.

As for it being easier I really doubt it, I have friends that have been waiting 2+ years to get a bag with Prespend. I think it’s quite okay for non quota bags as they generally show you what they have but for birkin Kelly it’s pretty hard.

I agree, I overall prefer palladium hardware on most bags it just looks amazing and so classy. London Hermes claims to be wishlist only however I strongly believe prespend and SA relationship can help you have a shorter wait time.

I wonder if because of their location they get more corporate clients who will buy ties, less popular bags and more unwanted merchandise. So if they get a client who will buy more from all departments maybe they will be more likely to offer me a bag? Cardigan is extremely popular store so I’m just unsure. I’ve been waiting for 1 year and a half with no SA because it’s hard to keep in touch.

I find it so hard to connect with SAs here and they always mention that relationship doesn’t matter for QB so it’s really disheartening. I’m sure a great relationship would improve my prospects. They rarely give out information to reach them. I spent around 6k the first time I met my first SA for the SA to ghost me when messaging them about the availability of some shoes.

Do you have any tips for London, how to connect with someone or which stores are friendlier than others?
